We had the good fortune of connecting with LEONARD DOZ’IA and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi LEONARD, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I’ve been in the food service industry as Chef/Owner of Dozia Catering for over 20 years when the pandemic hit a couple years ago. Like everyone, we had to reset ours goals financially and look at ways to adjust our business model to the current environment we were dealing with. The Master Mix Seasoning Brand was already a planned expansion project on paper, but really took shape during the Covid crisis. The world was going out to eat less and cooking more as a result of the pandemic. We shifted the business model to the Master Mix Seasonings to offset the slowed down food industry sales. Within a years time, we successfully launched the Master Mix Seasonings Brand with 6 great products for consumers to enjoy their quarantined culinary adventures!

What should our readers know about your business?
Doz’ia Catering & Master Mix Seasonings is all about “Giving you flavor you can savor” with our signature Exposed Kitchen Catering concept featuring our Master Mix Seasonings brand. We are essentially a moving kitchen, but not a food truck. We standout, because of our dedication to freshness and attention to detail. While most chefs and caterers pre-cook food items ahead of each event, we take time to plan and arrive early at each event to map out ways to deliver the freshest product with designed action stations. Our menu items are created to add flexibility to our service and break the monotony of boring buffet displays. Challenges are always present, but it’s the challenges that mold us to be the best we can be and teaches us to be career over-comers. With each day, we learn what we are capable of, and wake up to embrace life’s turbulent obstacles.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would definitely take my guests to a Lake-house for a relaxing time of lake excursions while enjoying a Crab Boil feast with Prime Rib, Lobster tails, and all the compliments of a meal by the water. There’s nothing like dining in the open air surrounded by God’s creations!

Simply, I’m grateful to anyone that has supported our endeavors spiritually and financially overs the past years, I have a special shootout to my family for their continued support and encouragement in all things Doz’ia!
