We had the good fortune of connecting with Lakesha Buckley and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lakesha, what is the most important factor behind your success?
Determination and commitment are the two principles I attribute to any success of my company. In business you will encounter many challenges and obstacles, it’s how you handle those tests that can make you or break you. Many days your gonna shine, but you have to find courage to push threw the cloudy days. Some days you make 20 sales others you may make one, yet its your responsibility to work diligently under all circumstances to obtain your goals.

What should our readers know about your business?
Gloryus Cosmetics’s PrettyPrincess is about creativity, talent and beauty. My brand has a mother and daughter brand for women, tweens and teens. PrettyPrincess was designed for young ladies who dance, model, and perform. We highlight academic achievements as well as young entrepreneurs. We have a mentoring program that will launch, 2021 called Princess Academy. The program will teach young ladies how to start a business. I started my company with a dollar and a dream, it’s my duty to teach the next generation. It’s never easy to start a company, lack of financial and other resources makes it tuff. I had to work really hard to manifest my vision.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Atlanta is full of history and culture. I love the little 5 points area. A variety of eateries and a little shopping in boutiques. From MLK to Roswell, I love going from the hood to Hollywood. From Ole Lady Gang, to Lenox mall and Phipps plaza. When family or colleagues visit we have a blast. Some friends can’t leave without visiting the infamous Magic City Strip Club.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
