We had the good fortune of connecting with Kyle Lee and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kyle, what’s the end goal, career-wise?
By the end of my career I want to be a well known fashion designer, stylist, creative director, etc. I want to be known for my pieces, looks, and for my work-style, to be known for being a jack of all trades. I would like to have multiple store locations open in different areas such as NY, LA, GA, etc.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I feel I am set apart from others because I am very passionate about what I do, I am most excited about creating new content for my brand and clients. I would say I got to where I am today professionally by taking risks and being consistent. I would not say it has been the easiest and it does have its ups and downs. I overcome challenges thrown at me by praying for guidance and by finding the best possible solution to the obstacle. I have learned a great deal of lessons along the way such as to not undervalue yourself such as not charging enough for you work or by not realizing your worth as a creative. Another lesson I have learned along the way is that you do not have to have everything figured out, when everything is said and done the pieces will come together. I am Kyle Lee, the owner of Koûteux, a luxury streetwear brand specializing in apparel, accessories, etc. I do graphic design, styling , creative direction, photography, design, etc.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would start off with Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen, Ray’s on the River, or Ruth Chris Steakhouse for Food. For drinks, I would go to Yardhouse, Bonefish Grill, or Escobar. Some cool places to hangout would be Little Five Points, Phipps, Piedmont Park, or a Hookah Lounge.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to Thank God for the blessings and opportunities I have received and also my friends and family for pushing me and keeping me going.
