Meet Kiria Murray: Holistic Wellness

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kiria Murray and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kiria, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I got the inspiration to start KCMCreationz almost three years ago from going through a personal transformation. I was looking for ways to practice self love and really take control of my happiness. I began my research into holistic healing and everything went up from there. I decided to make a business of it to share my products with other people, mainly women who could also benefit from the healing I experienced. I wanted to encourage people to take their happiness seriously in a fast paced world that rarely gives you moments to relax. I decided to be the change to show others you can practice self love in little ways that make a big difference. KCMCreationz aims to give people an affordable way to honor their mind, and body.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am most proud of KCMCreationz for always giving customers quality handmade products. Every bar of soap, face mask, everything I create is made with love and healing intention. I am excited when I hear great reviews from people telling me how my products have improved their lifestyle. It wasn’t an easy road launching KCMCreationz and staying consistently in business has been the real challenge. I am always reading and looking for new ways to enhance my inventory and increase my knowledge on holistic practice and herbal remedies. I overcome each challenge by never giving up and having vision over sight. Sometimes things may seem hard in the moment, but when you keep the bigger picture in mind and focus on the overall goal, you stay motivated. Building KCMCreationz has taught me patience and gratitude, a business isn’t succesfull overnight, and you have to be thankful for the small wins too. I want the world to know KCMCreationz is in the business for the long game! I am slowly but surely building my inventory and will continue to give affordable products to help people love themselves a little more each day.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend were visiting the area, we would visit Stone Age the crystal shop first day out. Tallahassee is a small area but there are some hidden gems here. Stone Age has all your spiritual needs. Then we could get some Hibachi from Nagoyas. The rest of the week we could check out the planetarium downtown and see the stars and universe in 3D while we walk through cascade park with the dogs. There is also a canopy road here that we could sight see and take a drive through, or hop out and take pictures! We could get ice cream from Brusters for a cold treat. Ending the week we could drive to the beach in panama city for a relaxing day and watch the sunset before heading back into town. The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to my boyfriend Joshua, and my sister Shaunice. From the beginning, they have constantly supported and encouraged me to stay consistent with KCMCreationz. When I get discouraged or overwhelmed, or simply need a helping hand, Josh has always been there for me whenever I need with no hesitation. Shaunice is the first to purchase a new product and spreading the word about KCMCreationz to others. I am forever grateful for their support. I would like to also thank the women who shop with me each day, without them KCMCreationz would have no room to grow for these last three years.
