We had the good fortune of connecting with Kimesha McDowell and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kimesha, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
When I decided to start my own business it happened very gradually and was not very well planned. The process behind it was very much spirit-based. I did not wake up one day and say to myself “Hey, I think I want to be a teacher of metaphysics today”. I had already been teaching spiritual law via social media since about 2015. I had also become very well known for metaphysical interpretation of the bible, name interpretations, and teaching about the mother aspect of God.

Once I realized that I was actually helping people, I started to think of myself as running a business with God as the CEO. I also began accepting and using my spiritual gifts. These things took some time to cultivate and build up my confidence. Up until 2018, I was still working for USPS as a sales representative. The thought of leaving a corporate job where I had been for 22 years absolutely scared me. However, the heaviness of waking up and going to a place where I felt I had outgrown and could not use my God-given gifts frustrated me daily.

One night I had a dream where I argued with myself about whether I should go back to work or not. In the dream, I told myself that I didn’t have to go back if I didn’t want to. I had that dream on a Friday night. On Monday morning, I told my manager that I was quitting. I left that day and never came back. This was the beginning of officially starting my business as a Metaphysician.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I’m in the business of helping people understand God. But I am not like a regular preacher. Whatever image you have of a preacher in your head, please scratch that. LOL! I am a Metaphysician. This is a little different than a preacher.

A metaphysician is one who preaches and/or teaches metaphysics. Metaphysics is the science of natural law or universal law. It is about the internal nature of our experience on earth. I use my knowledge and understanding of natural law to help others (and myself) heal the mind. The mind, soul, and spirit are one. Therefore, the practice of metaphysics is very spiritual.

What makes me different from others who may also teach metaphysics is my gift for decoding words, letters, numbers, symbols. I also have the gift of clairaudience and I incorporate it into my ministry in many ways. One of the main ways is by breaking down the esoteric meaning of words. This means that I can look at and/or listen to pretty much any word (specifically in English) and tell you what it means metaphysically. I use this gift to interpret the bible and also to teach classes on spiritual law.

Although my message is for everyone, my main target is women. I am extremely excited about the handbook and online course I developed called Self Realization of a Goddess. This book and course go through the 12 steps of spiritual maturity. It sheds light on the concept that we create our reality and our entire experience. This is easy to say, but some people have a tendency to only include the positive things that happen in their life when they think about manifesting. This book and course cover how we manifest negative experiences as well.

One of my main challenges with the development of Self Realization of a Goddess was and still is helping women understand how crucial they are as the original teacher on earth. Simply getting them to stand in their power can be difficult. Many women don’t realize they teach from within the blood, within the womb, and within the breastmilk. Therefore, many of the experiences that we have on earth are due to the woman not knowing how powerful their mind and womb are. Many women reject this power, but nature shows us repeatedly that she is the invisible force of nature. As a collective, we must do better.

Another challenge is in coaching women to go past the surface level of spirituality. Some people, not only women, have a tendency to get stuck at gadgets like crystals, incense, and yoni eggs, etc. None of these things are negative and I encourage the incorporation of them into our spiritual journal. However, none of those things make us become accountable for our experiences. Because some people rely so heavily on these things, they never reach the level of self-accountability that universal law requires. The law requires that we know ourself as a creator in order to stand fully in our authority over self. If you are not in authority over yourself, then you have declared yourself a slave to another.

The only way I could overcome this challenge was to offer women a step-by-step course on the transition from self-victimization to self-empowerment. The power is within the mind. But before I could do this, I also had to trust myself. I had to believe what I heard one night as I drifted off to sleep. I heard “Your mission was always to protect women”. I had to believe what I was told in my dreams in regards to what I was here to do. My over goal is to protect women by offering them knowledge of self via metaphysics. The main lesson I learned from this is to be the best example of what I teach. As it is stated in the book, The Four Agreements, always do your best.

The core of the BlaQ Fire Nation brand and story is about healing the world through the woman. I pledge to do my best.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I am based out of Philadelphia, but I bring the Self Realization of a Goddess class to Atlanta every year! But if you were visiting Philadelphia I would definitley take you to South street. If you wanted to experience a Philly Cheesesteak the best place to get one is at Jim’s Steaks. We might also go over to Copa’s. It’s a bar which is also on South street. We could spend at least an entire day there. There’s plenty of food, drinks and shopping on that one strip.

The other days, we might go sight seeing and visit some of the most well known locations in Philadelphia. The Art Museum is a good place to go workout. Plus, you’ll get to see the statue of Rocky. Everyone loves to run up the steps and pretend to be Rocky. Hopefully you have the energy because there are a lot of steps! LOL!

And lastly, if you like bowling we can go to North Bowl. It’s a bowling alley but they serve alchohol and play good music.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to give a shoutout to all of my supporters. Whether it be online, offline, family, or friends. Without the support and encouragement of those who pour into me, I would not have the strength to do what I do. Thank you for telling me to not give up. And thank you for reminding me that I am making a difference in people’s lives. I especially thank the people who give love offerings which help me to be able to travel, teach and assist others through their self-healing journey. I’ll never forget the people that were there with me at the grassroots.

I also would like to shout out the BlaQ Fire Nation Alumni! These are the students who went through the entire Self Realization of a Goddess course. I commend you because it takes a lot of dedication, time, effort, and courage to look at yourself and decide that you are a creator at all times. I also want to thank you all for trusting your spirit and trusting me enough to learn from me. Also, thank you for allowing me to learn from you as well. You all are truly appreciated.
