We had the good fortune of connecting with KBE Vonte and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi KBE, why did you pursue a creative career?
Man, I really just wanted to be heard. And I wanted to inspire. I felt like I could change the game with my cadences and styles. I was always an artist. I drew a lot when I was younger and I also did origami and stuff. So crafting was always in me.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Honestly, I just stayed motivated. I devoted a lot of my personal time and just a lot behind it. I try to record music everyday like many artists. I record myself as well. Mix some of my stuff. I just fell in love with the process. Really creating and crafting and practicing everyday like an athlete. A lot of the challenges I faced were either financial or internal. Never was a real hinderance. I say that now because I’m confident in so many things. God definitely being one of them. I just learned to really move graciously. Be patient. Perfect it. When the world listens to me I want them to hear someone who is ambitious. Who is hungry. Who is trying to go above and beyond.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Man, rocking with me we will probably be high somewhere in the studio. I may take them to Five Points or something. Probably show them how lit the college parties be. The malls don’t really hit how they should but we could check them out. Just average stuff.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Man, my manager Alexiana. She really my ride or die. And also my brothers Blvck and Zo. Those are the core. Without them this wouldn’t work.
