We had the good fortune of connecting with Kasper Park and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kasper, is there something you can share with us that those outside of the industry might not be aware of?
I feel like people don’t know the teams behind the artist that are likely to be present. The teams don’t have to be big but, most likely, an artist did not create something inside a vacuum. More things are collaborations than we give them credit for. Knowing this, it can be easier to appreciate every artist and their perspective and inspire to create your own perspective.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m an independent artist from Philadelphia who goes by Kasper Park. I’ve been making music for the past 8 years making it a priority to learn the business and hone my craft to the best of my ability. I think my mindset alone is what set me apart in today’s music industry. A lot would say I give a fresh perspective. I’ve been building my brand, Where Ghosts Go, recently to get my name out, help other like-minded artists, and simply share my perspective. There is a lot of power in sharing honestly, and rap needs some of that back.

All in all, my vision for Where Ghosts Go is bigger than my music. I want it to be something my city can be proud of and point to physical examples of real change in the community.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Reading Terminal Market REC Philly
Cira Green Rooftop Park
Boathouse Row
South Philadelphia Sports Complex
King of Prussia Mall
Belmont Plateau

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would give my special s/o to someone who helped me start my music career. He’s a producer by the name of DO’C based out of Philly. There would be no Kasper Park, if we weren’t recording those fun songs on his Macbook after high school feeling on top of the world. We haven’t collaborated in a while, but I’m grateful for the experience and inspiration always. He went on to work with Matt Ox, T$AN, and members from the OT7 crew out of Philly. His work speaks for itself.
