We had the good fortune of connecting with Jus Vybin and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jus, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I wanted full control of my time and consequently my destiny.

I got to a stage where I started to think what’s life all about. I want to leave a legacy and tread my own path.

I want to make money whilst I’m sleeping, there is only so much hours in the day working for someone and their agenda

As a creator I own my intellectual property and it becomes a commodity that yields for life, it has an ability to compound
and can move on to the next generation

Life is growth, my own business gives me the ability to grow self and or empire as I deem fit with no hold back

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am a Producer Singer Songwriter. I write, sing and produce all my music. I record myself in my studio and thoroughly enjoy the process of bringing to life a new story and or concept. I really believe in Africa and I often find space for this in my music, The vibe and the soul is important to me. I have to feel it in my bones and ultimately I want my fans to feel it too.

I have great appreciation for women, they have given so much to humanity considering the world will not be as it is today without them. They are true mothers of the earth. This is why I wrote Chocolate Queen and That Girl

My Journey has not been without challenges, music is a very expensive hubby. The biggest initial challenge is the cost of financing your project to stand alongside what established acts are putting out in terms of quality. You then have the challenge of promotion to reach your audience.

My idea of Music Production is based on ability to own one’s Intellectual Property and consequently my thoughts was to invest in myself to give me a level of being in charge of my own destiny. It took me years to finally quit my job simply because I was waiting for the right opportunity to do so. One should ultimately work to set up self to do what is one’s calling.

I work smarter than I have ever done and it does not feel like work. It is important to have a good team around you as there is so much to do. Remember it’s called Music / Show Business as the business side needs to be taken care of.

I believe it is very important not to give up as long as you self evaluate to make sure you are making positive strides. Baby steps is what becomes wholesome. Three years ago I was not a Professional and today my music is all over the world.

There is still a long way to go, I am so proud that I believe in my conviction and I went with it amidst so many negative vibe around me

I believe music is spiritual and my job is to deliver it for the upliftment of people

Love makes the world go round and that vibration is the base of my music. I want to see the good in everything and consequently my outlook is pure love and positivity

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love places with great ambience and decoration looking all serene. A place to eat where I can get lots of Greens, Fish and a good variety of meals

Music Arena to watch performances and shake a leg

The Club especially with a good Dj

Watch Football at the Football Ground

Nature is very important, just hanging out at the beach or a beautiful Garden is good for mind body and soul

Lastly we have to play Sport, a Tennis Court to play the ultimate game of love

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My shoutout is to Producers on Youtube who continually gives. Knowledge needed for full production from Recording to the final mastering stage is huge. I love all the technical aspect of making music and consequently I have had to search and decipher information that will specifically serve me. It would have taken years and a huge cost to discover and learn all the skill set needed for good quality production

Big shout out to Stanley who reviewed my music and gave constructive feedback that was so crucial to my growth. Big appreciation, Mr Shonubi (I.D) for his constant support, liking and sharing the music on social media. Encouragement no matter how little, goes a long way.

Harri Best my realest paddy. There is nothing better than comparing notes with someone in the industry who understands the hustle.

Finally to my family for understanding that this path is worth pursuing.
