We had the good fortune of connecting with John Wong and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi John, what is the most important factor behind your success?
My view on success is more of an intrinsic view. My core values in life are honesty, integrity, and service. My success is defined by living and leading an honest life and engaging with the community. I strive to embody the qualities of sincerity and authenticity. My personal views on success also carry over to my business. We always see ourselves as a part of the client and treat all events as if they were our own. We value our attention to detail in everything including backdrop selections, photo designs, and branding concepts to help our clients achieve their event goals. It’s the little things that take an event or experience from good to great and that’s what sets the great ones apart.

I genuinely believe in acting with integrity in everything that I do and that translates into my photo booth business. This includes really understanding what our clients’ goals are for each event and dedicating our time and resources to help our clients achieve their goals. We also work with a lot of non-profit organizations and businesses and try to align ourselves with organizations that share the same values and missions.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Capture Cliques Photobooth, LLC is a photo engagement company that provides photobooth services to clients for private events, business events, and social events. We specialize in adding a unique element to each event through our branding and personalization concepts. We are always offering new and innovating features that our clients and guests can enjoy. This has been a difficult year, however, we have taken the time to add new digital features and are excited to be able to offer new concepts to our potential clients. We have provided services for many private parties, businesses, and organizations including Home Depot, Sweetwater Brewery, Georgia Tech, and many others. We look forward to building new relationships and taking events to the next level.

Starting a business has its challenges, but the sense of accomplishment in being a part of something bigger than yourself makes it worthwhile. One of the hardest parts of starting my business was simply taking the first step. My advice to others who are thinking of starting their own business or anything new is to show up and be willing to commit to your plan.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Atlanta has a lot of interesting places. A week long itinerary would include going to Ponce City Market and Krog Street Market for food, bicycling on the beltline trail, going to an Atlanta Braves baseball game at Truist Park, and hanging out at the breweries at the West End.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are so many people who have helped and supported me along the way. I’m thankful for my family and my upbringing for instilling in me my values. I am also appreciative of my friends, mentors, and coaches that have helped guide me in my journey.
