We had the good fortune of connecting with Jay Math and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jay, what is the most important factor behind your success?
I think the most important factor behind my brand is the simple things. When I say that I mean following up with people keeping your word and being on time. Those are the things I value the most about my business. I believe those are the reasons that artists and advertisers want to work with me. All I have is my name and my word and I take that very seriously when working with someone.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Show Discipline Magazine is the only place you get content that will influence the way you see artists in a positive way. We have so much to offer from the Video of the Week segment to The Scope which is the black film segment that has become pretty popular we write about local artists as well as artists from all over the world it’s all about the culture of Hip-hop.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love this spot Mexican spot agave. I would probably start there. Then again I also love Harolds on Edgewood specifically it was my office before I got an office. They would have to go to XOA lifestyle in little 5 points a black-owned clothing store. Then I would probably send them to The Rose and Hemp for some good old CBD products.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to shout to the 10x rule. It’s a book I’m finishing now by Grant Cardone. It really gave me a different outlook on my business life. The book inspires me to do more with my time and not wait on someone to come save me. The world isn’t going to change for one person. You have to be able to humble, adapt, and be courageous to achieve your goals.
