We had the good fortune of connecting with Jasmine Jacksom and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jasmine, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I started my business to uplift women of color to take control of their mental and physical health. I was a high school teacher and I knew teaching was my passion; however, I knew I could use my skills to help teach women through mental health and health coaching. I wanted to own my wealth and happiness.

What should our readers know about your business?
Goddess Lane Consulting, LLC is the combination health and life coaching teaching women of color to chase themselves through mindfulness techniques, self-care techniques, meal prepping, & physical fitness. At my highest weight of 311 with the lowest self-esteem, I am proof that you can change your lifestyle and thrive.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love Atlanta and I’m a brunch girl. I would start my day at The Warren City Club and eat on the balcony. I love flowers so much so I would follow brunch at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. Lastly, I’d finish with an early dinner at Canoe. The city has beautiful getaways right in the heart of Atlanta.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My shoutout goes to Akua Davis. She inspired my journey to becoming a life and health coach. She supported as a mentor, listened to my love languages and continues to instill a content journey of always learning more because the brain is the most important thing you have.
