We had the good fortune of connecting with Jasmine Glenn and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jasmine, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I’ve always been a dog person! I loveeeee dogs! I have my own and I love him dearly! The idea came from having to leave my pup Diego, at home alone. I always hated that feeling and when it came time to say goodbye I could always see how sad he was. I then started thinking of ways that I could work and make income but didn’t require me to leave my dog home alone. I also started thinking “what if there was another dog friendly place and what would it be?” My pup LOVES his snacks, he has his own snack cabinet. I would make him his own treats and then I started thinking. Ice cream is a simple luxury most of us enjoy, why not let our loyal furry friends enjoy it as well? My end goal is to have my own dog ice cream park, where puprents can bring their fur babies. However, for now I think my main problem has been solved haha.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
When I’m not working on my business Cool Drool, I am working part-time as a supervisor at a dog daycare! This has allowed me to meet and bond with so many cool pups as well as learn many things about the different breeds. I’ve been able to build incredible relationships and I can’t wait to expand within my workplace! I am where I am today because of my love and passion for dogs, because I care strongly. My job is not easy for most, it takes patience, but because I love my involvement in what I do, it’s easy for me. I’ve learned many lessons, ALL dogs are different, even if they are the same breed. Dogs have many different ways of communicating with humans and other dogs. Like us, some dogs require special diets or medications. I’d like the world to know that a dogs loyalty is like none other and they deserve to be treated with love as well as enjoy the same simple luxuries as humans!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
First we’d start the morning out at Stone Mountain to take in the view, connect with nature, talk, and manifest positive things into our lives. Then we could venture off to little five points and check out some clothing stores, boutiques, crystal shops, and cool vendors. I’d follow up with a yummy bite to eat at the Spinning Pie on Peter Street because they also have drinks and hookah! On another day I’d take my best friend to Atlanta’s Beltline just to check out the atmosphere, I could also show my best how I operate Cool Drool since the Beltline is one of the locations I use for my business!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d really like to thank everyone that has supported me on this purposeful journey! The amazing feedback and work that has been put into my vision by my loved ones has been so overwhelming! None of this would be possible without my powerful support system, thank you!
