We had the good fortune of connecting with Jasmin Walton and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jasmin, what principle do you value most?
“Love First. Judge Never” Love is the foundation of EVERYTHING we do. If there is no love, there is no life.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
As a worship leader and traveling professional singer, I had to learn early what my priorities were. I had to realize what would be my foundation and drive. I learned that if it wasn’t God-driven, it wasn’t for me. There were many opportunities I missed because I knew that it wouldn’t keep me pure. I’m proud that I never traded my true values and standards for fame or a dollar amount. I never let myself choose fame over character. Now being a business owner, taking the steps to build strength, integrity, and an honest reputation was necessary. There were many stressful, painful, and lonely seasons, but each moment in time produced a version of me that I never knew existed. Prayer, Patience, Perseverance, and Purpose guided me through to the end. The biggest lesson out of it all is success takes patience and the willingness to fail along the way. You have to keep pushing until what you envisioned becomes a reality. Don’t settle for less than what has been promised to you. If it’s yours, no one can take it from you. Keep working until you see the promise. Jasmin Walton, Inc., #FindYourPretty, Off Script Collection, and “The Well” Community Initiative wouldn’t exist if I stopped because it seemed too hard to accomplish. Keep Pushing!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Unfortunately, I’m such a homebody. I’ve been in Atlanta for 7 years and I’m very predictable. lol I’m just now getting to the place where I’m learning balance and the importance of exploring the beauty of my city! However, I am a fan of Wingstop, Yardhouse, and The Juicy Crab. For fun/entertainment, I enjoy the movies, shopping at atlantic station or Lenox Mall, and bowling. From what I hear, there’s always something new to do in this great city.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Before I give any credit to anyone, I have to acknowledge God. Without him, none of what I have and who I am would be possible. Other than him, It’s hard to give one person credit. My family and true friends have all helped to push, support, and cheer me on through this journey to greatness. They’ve all been such a tremendous support system as I grow and learn along the way.
