We had the good fortune of connecting with James Womack Jr and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi James, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought process is for a cause for the hip-hop industry. I realized that there is a need for wise counseling services and faith based branding for rappers dealing with real life issues in the world that we live in.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My purpose is to create hip-hop music with a Kingdom perspective. My brand is used to help develop hip-hop artists in all aspects of life and to support independent artists with aspirations of going to the next level with their craft and their message to the world. It’s not easy but it’s worth it because I’m using my business to help solve problems and be a support system for the hip-hop industry. What I’ve learned is to run your race and stay in your lane that God has given all of us. My brand is to help counsel artists that maybe dealing issues like depression and suicide, which was something I had dealt with for years. I’m using my life’s story to help the hip-hop industry.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Atlanta is full of amazing places to see and discover. I would love to take my best friend to places like the Georgia Aquarium, to eat at Mary Mac’s Tea Room, and to chill and have some fun at Top Golf.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Shout outs to the Most High, Jesus Christ for being my Lord and Savior of my life. Shout outs to my late mother, Joanna Womack and my father, James Womack Sr. for being godly parents and teaching me what I know that’s helping me through life as a whole.
