We had the good fortune of connecting with Isaac Nunn and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Isaac, what is the most important factor behind your success?
I believe the most important factor behind my success and, the success of my brand is always remaining hungry. I am determined to grow my business and to also continue growing as an artist. Even when I didn’t have clients I would create projects for myself so I could continue working on my craft and showcasing what I could do.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am a fashion photographer out of Birmingham, AL. I love the use of color in my editing and, interesting/strong compositions. I spend most of my time with my head in both old and new fashion magazines pulling inspiration and just studying the greats that once shot or are still shooting. I would say I am where I am now professionally because of the decision to just go for it and not let doubt hold me back. I’ve had my LLC for over two years now and making the company legal was a big step for my business and separates it from just being a hobby. It hasn’t been easy at all but remaining consistent and learning to enjoy the process has helped me tremendously. I want the world to know that anyone can chase and accomplish their dreams no matter what you look like or how old you are. I’m hoping my story and art can inspire someone else to take a leap of faith or to just start.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Favorite spots in the city are honestly alleyways and murals as weird as that may sound. I love to explore and ride around the city on the new electric scooters downtown and just see Birmingham from a different view. If I were to take some people to places I love I would say Revelator coffee downtown for a Cold brew and Paramount Bar for food and drinks (love the arcade games). Also would hit up the Pizitz for many different food options like ONO POKÉ who have west coast-inspired bowls with delicious and fresh ingredients.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would have to shout out my family and friends. I am an only child but I had the help of my community and friends to help me get to where I am today. Many times we try to do it all on our own but the truth is it’s okay to have help, Having a group of people behind you that support and believe in what you do is very important, and if you don’t have that support find people who are like-minded and will uplift you during the process.
