We had the good fortune of connecting with Ela Nasahrhette Gbawa Ewa and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ela Nasahrhette, looking back, what do you think was the most difficult decision you’ve had to make?
Divine Timing is Everything, ASHE! I had committed to getting this article to you by the end of last week, and I was unable to meet my commitment because I had to remove my soon-to-be EX husband from the premises of our home. So, yup. Divine Timing on this question, for real! But I struggle slightly with the word difficult, for at the moment when I was having an Iya Yansa moment, and I was throwing his clothes over the balcony, IT WAS AN EASY DECISION HONEY. EASY, THE BURDEN WAS EASY, AND THE YOKE WAS LIGHT. The difficulty was the 20 years of lessons I was too hard-headed to PERCEIVE. The difficulty was my womb shutting down and having incurable BV! The difficulty was losing my ability to BECOME anything for myself. The moment, naw, that was easy baby. The difficulty was my experiences. THE difficulty is watching the aftermath, THE difficulty of the moment?! Naw, that moment was liberating. The moment wasn’t the decision. The moment was the follow-through. But your purpose is your story, so let’s see where your questions lead to see what story might be told, Ashe!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am an Egun Trantrika Priestess. A Tantrika studies the path of healing the INNER divine masculine and the divine feminine within every human being. Every person has both these energies. An EgunGun Priestess is a medium that works with the ancestral realm for the purpose of bloodline restoration. Through these two healing paths, I help people reconnect the two most misunderstood sacred polarities in the human experience—the Body and Breath connection. When you work intentionally on these energies within you, you become more filled with light, energy, and LIFE!! I have over 27 years of experience in sales, marketing, and media. And it is weird to say that working in Radio, Grocery, or Insurance could prepare you for running a Psychic Medium business. But it has actually taught me everything. First and foremost the relationships in the workplace helped evolve my subconscious mind, My media experience gave me the ability to strategize, and implement quick tactical events and promotions. My retail experience gave me implementation and strategy skills, and insurance honed my presentation skills, curriculum building knowledge, processes, and the ability to research for the purpose of teaching others. Those were just a few of the skills that I use in my business. Sales and Marketing is really an intuitive path anyways, so everything and every experience I had prepared me for this moment. Most people work to RETIRE. I worked to CREATE. When I was a little girl, I dreamed of running my own company. I can hear my words now, “I am going to work at a media company, then a retail company, then I’ll work at some big corporate job, and then I’ll run my own business.” That has come full circle. Although I said this as a little girl, not with the Intent and power I would set today. I now understand the true power of manifestation. Your mouth, Your gods, Your Ancestors, Your Breath, and Your Hands. The Five-Fold path that I teach in my practice. There is an African Proverb that says. When you Pray, Move your feet. That is my secret to success. I don’t think that people can know me, I am humbly too big to explain in an article, I WANT PEOPLE TO EXPERIENCE ME. TO KNOW ME IS TO EXPERIENCE ME. Until people operate in consciousness and stop spreading Covid, I can be seen on YouTube in which you can learn more about some of my Egun and Self-love strategies. You can go to my website, youTube, Apple, or Spotify to hear my Podcast Black Church: A Podcast by Nasahrhette Bawa in which I turn scripture into Orisha stories blending the bible, hoodoo, and Odu. And anyone can also join one of my classes Friday before new moons. I actually have one coming up Friday, April 9 in which I’ll be discussing how to begin the journey to heal the inner and outer Divine Feminine and Divine Masculine energies. I’d be happy to invite you as a guest virtually or you can even come to my healing space and take pics and receive a session yourself if you don’t mind a lil renovations. Mask required of course, Let me know. I’ll be happy to set it up.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We would stop at HoneyPot ATL. I love the vibe there and it has everything I need. Then I would take them on a Goodwill crawl and show them all the coolest Goodwills OTP and ITP. Gotta go to Monticello’s Cigar Bar. I would definitely go to Slutty Vegan. Pinky Cole is inspiring, she is why I created and joined “Community” a new platform I use to allow people to receive free text readings. The number is 404-737-0842 BTW. We Gotta go on my Holy lake crawl too. Gotta get on the Hooch, Red Top Mountain, Gotta hit Lake Hartwell, Lake Acworth, and Carter’s Ferry, a spooky hidden gem I just found that I gotta find, and we’d do a few African-American cemetery visits. Then we’d just flow wit it from there. There is so much to be explored, planning an itinerary can be too cerebral and cause exhaustion on vacation. Get you like three – four prime spots and let it flow from there.
