Meet Domini White: Designer & Logistics Services

We had the good fortune of connecting with Domini White and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Domini, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
First I start documenting my thoughts in a structured business plan while allowing myself to share my ideas with my mother then I went to a very successful friend. It wasn’t easy stepping out on your own, successful entrepreneurs have to start somewhere, and there’s no way to be ready for all the obstacles you’ll face along the way. In spite of the many challenges of entrepreneurship, pursuing a career in this field can be hugely rewarding, and in some cases, life-changing
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m all in for constructive criticism, but I’m not going to let other people’s negativity stop me from following my dream. People who follow their dreams are doers. Doers have more power to create, influence, and change their environment… and eventually the world. Dreams make you take chances, but chances can bring more opportunities. As a fashion designer and interior designer, I had to research current fashion trends, forecasting what will be popular with consumers, and take inspiration from the world around us to create fresh and original designs. The way that I took to overcoming my challenges was to lean into my fears and find the courage and energy to act in direct opposition to the forces that were oppressing me. To do this, I had to change my perspective on adversity. I learned to show people don’t tell them. That allowed me to build my story from the ground up and come at the process with good intentions.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
That would be my mother she is always the first person I call on for advice. I have the vision to reach for my dreams, and the grit to push through the challenges that are in my way. Thanks to my mother she has made me strong and the woman that I am today.
