We had the good fortune of connecting with Dave Wright and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dave, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Risk is a necessity. Ive always lived from that standpoint that without risk there is no reward. That’s essential in business, love and relationship, emotional stability and fundamental human balance…Everything I’ve created/achieved has been a risk. What if I fail? What if it doesn’t work? What if people see my failures? How will they feel? How will that affect my business? How will it affect my relationships? My kids? I can’t tell you how many risks I’ve taken and felt like I failed. I’m typically the type to jump out of the plane and learn how to fly on the way down (Thank my 20’s for that!) Now that I’m a little older, I respect risk more now. I understand that it’s a necessary part of every aspect of my life. The reward almost always quantifies the risk; it makes the risk validated! For every 9 NO’s I receive, I receive 1 YES…And that YES (and the payment that follows it) makes every NO worth it (Thanks Pastor Anthony Murray for that one!) As a black man, a christian, a father and a business owner, I wouldn’t be where I am today without taking risks. It’s requirement for my success.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What sets Allwright Media apart is the product. We don’t just shoot videos. We create visuals based on the stories of our clients. Those visuals speak to the audience of our clients to increase their bottom line. We’re digital storytellers; visual architects. We help our clients bridge the gap between their brand values and the values of their consumers. Our style is raw yet authentic, like real life. The journey to today wasn’t easy. But it has proven to be worth it. I’ve learned 3 lessons that remain true. 1. Consistency is key. 2. People trust people who do what they say. 3. It’s easier to perform when you work like it’s not a job.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
This shoutout goes without question to my tribe….Family and close friends…Y’all know what it is!
To HER: Today is a gift that I’m blessed to share with you. As we navigate new terrain, I’m grateful for what was, what is, and what’s to come.
My Pastor Anthony Murray…Ministry partners and supporters…Support system and sounding board…I couldn’t be who I am or am becoming without your support and encouragement.
And to ME…You love hard..You give relentlessly. Look back at this moment with reverence and breathe it in. You worked for this…You deserve this and more….Now get back to work!
