We had the good fortune of connecting with Cristal Carrington and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Cristal, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind my success and the success of my brand is Results.
As owner of American Face Center, a leading facial rejuvenation spa in the Baltimore/DC area, I believe in providing results for my clients. We live in a microwave society and clients want to see themselves more beautiful and radiant now, not later, not after healing or being in pain.
As a singer/songwriter and rapper under the stage name Cristal Carrington, I too believe in providing results and memorable experience for my audience.
Both can be seen the same light, although seemingly non-related.
Passion towards my craft and bringing the heat are my mantras. When slimming a face or creating a song, it simply requires heat, yet a practical and methodical approach to inspiring my clients/listeners.

About Cristal Carrington
Pop/Hip hop artist Cristal Carrington is located in Baltimore, MD but hails from Long Island, NY. She provides beat knocking and sexy songs for music lovers of all ages. Latin pop songs like “See You Dance” and traditional pop songs like “Another Way of Life” were the starting points for this dynamic artist, but she didn’t stop there. Creating hard-core hip hop fused with R&B on songs like “Loving From the Back”, dubbed “the strip club anthem and fresh and breezy songs like “Summer” has allowed Cristal to display her ability to write across genres. Her debut album Revenge, can be heard on Spotify, Apple Music and Youtube.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
what sets you apart from others – I write songs across genres (pop, hip hop, edm, and r&b)
what you are most proud of or excited about – I’m excited about bringing more music to the fore and allowing my audience to get to know me better.
How did you get to where you are today professionally – Blood, sweat and tears. Self determination
Was it easy? No
If not, how did you overcome the challenges? – The music business has changed and artists are continually having to adjust their strategies to gain more followers and get attention from an audience that has a shorter attention span than ever before.
What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way – Nothing is given to you. People will try to discourage you, even friends.
No one is loyal. Most people are bullshitters and only you can control you and your attitude towards life.
What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story? I have an aggressive rap style. It’s the origin of rap, but I also have a softer more refined side. This is typically found in my R&B and Pop songs. I am a fluid artist that balances between hard core and soft rock. I have songs and flavors for all music lovers.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If you are visiting Baltimore, there is fun for whatever mood you are in. I would start first getting them some crab legs (steamed and spicy of course). I would then take them to the Baltimore Harbor and bar hop in Fells Point. This is the beginning of some great memories. We would probably end up at the casino and maybe even hit Fed Hill for some further bars and bites.
I’m not originally from Baltimore but have lived here for a few years, so every day is a discovery for me as well.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Sometimes the best inspiration and support comes from yourself, but I have found that the following book was very helpful in my journey with music and business.
The Gold Standard: Rules to Rule By by Ari Gold
It centers around the fictional character Ari Gold from the HBO hit series entourage. It delivers punchy and real business values that any entrepreneur can benefit from at any stage in their career.
