We had the good fortune of connecting with Courtney Patrick and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Courtney, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
Born & raised here in Atlanta, ga I was heavily impacted by music. Most specifically outkast, goodie mobb, the whole Dungeon family. Anybody old Atlanta for sure. So staying true to my roots is a big deal for me when it comes to creating.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am still very much so a work in progress so a lot of things are still trial and error lol. I just try and most times it works in my favor but there are times where it’s back to the drawing board. Self discipline is such an important factor. There are days where working is the last thing I want to do but who else Is going to do it? I’d like for everyone to know that I’m just a normal person who decided to take a leap out on faith to pursue what I love and enjoy.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m adventurous and enjoy outdoors so I’m most likely to plan a day of something that requires actual physical activity and engagement. I love nature trails so depending on the time of year that would be likely to occur. 9 times out of 10 though I probably won’t have an itinerary and would be likely to act out of pure spontaneity. The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There’s so many to list both good and bad lol. But on a serious note I’d like to give myself a little credit which is something I don’t do often. To my inner child/my younger self, “we’re doing it!”
