We had the good fortune of connecting with CJ Washam and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi CJ, what do you want your legacy to be?
I want my legacy to be one that leaves people remembering me for being a innovator, trendsetter and most importantly a leader that helped lift the Fitness industry to higher levels than ever better. It’s super important to make sure people know i did everything in my power to make sure my community is represented and respected the same as all others in the Fitness industry,

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What i do is very unique because i help Fitness Professionals and Wellness Brands build their brand presence via multiple creative digital marketing strategies and concepts. I share a variety of valuable information online social media but offer in depth one on one help from time to time but the main way i help “Fitpreneurs” now is via our latest brand agency named Fitness Online University.

What sets us a part Fitness Online University from many other Scholastic Institutions is our hands on approach with our students. Plus they have a next level on demand access to our video on demand lessons of 120 + Fitness business building courses and weekly collaboration mastermind calls. Our community of fitness professionals congregate to impact the ideas of one another. Our dedicated peer of students share and support each other through the challenges of the fitness business and leadership. I am super proud of what we have built at FOU and super honored to say it’s black owned and it’s homebased is here in Atlanta, GA.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my friend was visiting ATL, I would take them of course through midtown and visit all of the top tourist spots that are on everyone’s top places to visit list in Atlanta. But for me i would love for them to see the smaller, less visited areas which are just as cool and trending setting like “Little Five Points” , Edgewood, The Battery Atlanta, Plus some of my favorite secret food spots i love to eat at like Juiceheads ATL and DBA BBQ.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to shoutout everyone of the people who have supported me on social media by followers and engaging in my content, purchased a ticket to any of my events and those who encourage and push me everyday to continue this journey of breaking through the “invisible barriers’ of the Fitness industry.

Special shoutout to my brother Marquiste Boyce @Sidehustlementor who pushed me down the entrepreneurship road and got me started and interested in creating my first business Revup Fitness llc.
