Meet Cheyenne Brown: Photographer & Content Creator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Cheyenne Brown and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Cheyenne, how do you think about risk?
What do you have to lose? Honestly. Being a content creator is literally defined by taking risks. You want people to notice your work? You have to try things that have never been done before. You have to be your biggest supporter no matter what. And you have to STOP with the impostor syndrome. Taking risks has played such a major role in my life since I graduated college. I had to stop second guessing myself and go for it. I started from scratch, I took those out of state jobs, and I even started pursuing my passions. Taking risks come with discomfort. But it’s important to remember growth and success doesn’t come from being comfortable.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What sets me apart is my desire to learn and create on a consistent basis. I love learning how to work new applications or creating new designs. Mastering new skills makes me happy, lol. Covid-19 has pushed me to pursue passions outside of my career, like videography & photography. I started my media company, CheyMedia. I decided to rebrand and switch from CheyTV to Chey Media. CheyMedia came about because friends and family would always ask for my help on different projects and I decided it would be a fun and beneficial move to create something out of it. CheyMedia is me, Cheyenne Brown. It is an umbrella for everything I wish to do as a creative. It gives me the opportunity to help others as well as for me to grow and learn as a professional.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to shout out my friends Morgan, Qri, and Devin. I have always had an interest in photography but I never took it serious due to personal doubt. They were the first to ‘book me.’ Even though, it was something casual and as a favor, they really kicked off my whole photography journey. I was surprised when they even asked me to help shoot them/their products, but once I saw the photos I was like woooooow….I really did that lol.
