We had the good fortune of connecting with CEO LIZZZ and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi CEO LIZZZ, what is the most important factor behind your success?
My overall goal is to pour into as many upcoming entrepreneurs as I can. I know how hard it can be to balance life, motherhood & business all at once.
I enjoy pushing people and giving them praise and support that a lot of us don’t get when starting out, so I’m glad I can offer these type of platforms for just that.
We’re all in this together. It’s up to us, especially black female business owners, to help each other rise to the top.
Why does the top have to be lonely when we can all go together?!
That’s success to me, having the desire for everyone around you to win.
That’s the most important factor behind my success/the success of my brand.. that I not only win, but I’m allowing others to win with me!
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I AM CEO LIZZZ, your favorite girl boss coach! CEO to me means CONSTANTLY EVOLVING OVERTIME. I am a certified business consultant & I help girl bosses start/expand their online business. I help them thoroughly understand the basics of starting and running their business in order to move forward. I am also the girl behind SUSPRENEURS, a well known Facebook community of over 90K girl bosses!
Growing up, I wanted to be a teacher preferably an English teacher. I loved writing! I also wanted to have a “job” where I had a cute office, with a nice view and get to wear cute ass suits. I wanted to be A BOSS, but not an entrepreneur. I had no idea what an entrepreneur was growing up. I always thought, I “had” to work for someone else. Turns out, I’m exactly what I wanted to be by accident! A BOSS ASS BUSINESS CONSULTANT (teacher).
I remember when I first started the Arkansas Boss Babe movement I wanted to build a platform that shined light on all upcoming female entrepreneurs from or that lived in Arkansas (that’s where I’m from). That was it. That was all. Then along came Suspreneurs (worldwide & has its own story) but still putting on for female entrepreneurs. Both which ignited the inner beast CEO LIZZZ.
Initially, it was never meant to be a business. I was just doing what I love & unknowingly stepping into my purpose. I’m really out here turning my passion into profits & it amazes me everyday. I’m definitely not one of those “know it all’s” but I have learned a little about a lot. I don’t promise to make you a millionaire, because hell… I haven’t even made a million YET. However, I can teach you how to use the resources around you to get paid!
The first product I dropped for ABB was the black/white Arkansas Boss Babe shirt (IYKYK). I ordered 25 & it took me months to move that. Eventually, I did. Since then I’ve dropped multiple designs & sold out! I said that to say, have proper planning & strategies in place if you want consistent sales in your business.
Listening to the needs of other business owners and my own as a growing entrepreneur is what encouraged me to start learning more about the processes of starting/running a business. I literally invest in so much information just to give it back to other growing entrepreneurs.
The bigger picture for my own business is to be a one stop shop for BOSS GIRLS. My brand has grown fast over the past year and sometimes I’m still in shock. It can sometimes become mentally draining trying to help others think for their business and still keeping up with my own, but overall I love what I do. My sole purpose is to help others win.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’ve only been in Atlanta a little over a year and I am very much a homebody, LOL! If I just have to pick though I would have to say Boogalou & Lily’s are a couple of my favorite hangout spots , they both have good food, drinks, hookah and vibes! I also love Georgia’s Potato Factory to eat. I still have a lot of exploring to do in the city though!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My Shoutout is dedicated to all the women of the SUSPRENEURS community!
