We had the good fortune of connecting with Carli Johnson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Carli, maybe we can start at the very start – the idea – how did you come up with the idea for your business?
Due to closures of several top companies we (preteens) dont have many places to shop. I asked my mom could we sell accessories and purses. We have also added clothing to our line up. Lately we’ve been attending several pop up shops and the support has been amazing. Buying this truck will make it easier for Carlis Closet to expand and give our young ladies a better shopping experience.💕💜

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
im only 12 yrs old i’ve been in business 2 years, im also a school and majorette dancer.. i push through and attend pop up shops on the weekends

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to recognize my mother, she is my motivation and biggest inspiration.. also the mom manager
