We had the good fortune of connecting with Candace Abdul-Raheem and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Candace, we’d love to hear what makes you happy.
Editing videos, doing photoshoots, and listening to music excel my happiness.. These particular things make me happy because it helps me through my difficult times. Growing up, I was always apart of something entertainment wise. I was always a performer, either behind the camera or in front of the camera. 

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I have a couple of arts. One is video editing, the other is baking cookies,which I’ve done on/off as a teenager. Due to COVID-19, I took a break from baking. So video editing has been my main focus. I mostly specialize in doing YouTube intros/outros for family,friends, and associates. I’m very proud that I started off doing it for fun back in 2017 because I didn’t want to spend numerous of dollars to do something I know I could do for my own YouTube channel. So, I asked a couple of friends to do one for them to practice. Then, they started paying. 3 years later, I’ve done video edits for multiple people. During my down time, I see my own work on somebody’s channel…Old or new. I still get surprised and impressed by my own work. I would love to sharpen my craft and do this for major YouTubers as my own full time job.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was visiting, I would take them to Lenox Square Mall and explore around after we check in Atlanta Marriott Marquis. Next, we would head back to the hotel and enjoy the spa. After the spa, we would order some food in, hot lemon pepper wings (all flats) are definitely on the menu,along with some red sangria wine. Then, we watch YouTube, listen to music, and comedy or scary movies into the next day. New few days, we will catch music video bookings for major artists, do some photoshoots, and Vlog the whole day. The last few days, we will do self care, explore the city, go to the Georgia Aquarium, see other friends in the area. Then, have a nice girls dinner the final night.

I would like to dedicate my shoutout to “Dear Girls Camp” , Joel Osteen, Dr. Laura Schlessinger , Chelsea McCoy Brittanie Everette Armani Knight Jillian Brewer Ari Amour My younger sister Amber Abdul-Raheem “Silence The Shame” , and my inspirations: Candice Nelson, Keri Hilson , and My late Grandmother Audrey Brown.
