We had the good fortune of connecting with Camille Dyer and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Camille, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I was working for a mobile massage company and a lot of the customers kept requesting me, so I decided to branch out on my own.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I offer in home massage on demand services to clients. I like to call my business the Uber for Massage. I think my desire to heal through touch is what sets me apart from other therapists. My ability to connect with anyone that lays on my table and give comfort to those in pain makes me most proud. I am excited that my business continues to grow through word of mouth with very little marketing. I got here through faith, and client referrals. The biggest lesson I learned along the way is the value of my time. Time is the only asset that you can not get back. I make sure to not over book myself so that I can give each client the best of me. I want the world to know that I love what I do. I believe in the healing power of therapeutic touch and I am committed to provided each client the highest quality of massage experience.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I think the Beltline overall is a cool place to see and meet interesting people. The rooftop at Ponce City Market is one of my favorite spots to hangout in the summer. The Illuminarium Atlanta is a cool indoor safari experience. My favorite place to grab a bite is Jinya Ramen, it’s so, so good.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My best friend, Nekeisha Carter. She is my personal cheerleader. I would not have had the courage to go to massage therapy school or launch my own mobile massage business without her support and encouragement. I also want to recognize Lauren Williams, aka thechiclifesylist on IG. She recommended that I apply for this interview to help give my business exposure.
