We had the good fortune of connecting with Bryce Lennon and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Bryce, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Since the beginning of my blogging journey, I’ve implemented a three tiered formula for success: 1) Positivity; 2) Consistency; 3) Vulnerability. The first, positivity, relates to an optimistic mindset. More specifically, the way our internal thoughts and beliefs manifest desired outcomes. For instance, I’ve always maintained a level of optimism when it comes to my work, with little to no expectations. I set small goals here, but my focus centers around the quality of my content. Remember, true power comes from within. As a result, I’ve been able to achieve high levels of success that way.
Second, I’ve maintained a level of consistency from the very beginning. Whether it’s creating a blog post or posting on social media, my readers and followers have content to engage with on a weekly basis. They pretty much know what to expect, and that’s what keeps them engaged. This routine helps me stay on task as well. Consistency is the key!
Lastly, lets tackle vulnerability. Believe it or not, there are more advantages to this term than meets the eye. How? Well, vulnerability challenges you to find a solution! All those “I don’t know” or “I need help” thoughts can really change future outcomes. We have to be comfortable with not knowing all the answers, and going for it!
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
UnRegisteredStyle.com and BryceLennon.com are representative of my creative side. They allow me to focus on fashion, photography, and writing in a safe space, which I greatly appreciate.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s tough being a creative. You’re not always in the mood to create content. Outside of our passion projects, we still have to deal with life. I recall quite a few times where I lost my spark in the real world. Fortunately, I was able to sit back, reflect, and get the juices flowing again. I had to reprocess my purpose, which always keeps me going.
Through all this, I’ve learned a couple of things. First, it’s okay to sit in uncertainty. We can never know all the answers! Sometimes, you have to take a risk creatively, and put yourself out there. With risk comes the opinions of others. Second a successful creative is resilient to feedback, whether its positive or negative. Be comfortable with criticism and rejection. You will grow from the experience.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to acknowledge anyone that has ever believed in me. This includes my partner, family, friends, loyal readers, and even strangers. Without their powerful words of encouragement, love, and appreciation, I would’ve folded a long time ago. For that, I’m very grateful!
