We had the good fortune of connecting with Brian Yount and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brian, what is the most important factor behind your success?
Consistency I feel like if you have the ethic you’ll see the improvements talent was enough when I was just getting started but when you really in music you’ll see you gotta learn to become consistent / dependable immediately

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m a music producer / engineer I feel like what separates me from most is my dedication music really my life when I jumped into this I had to sacrifice something I chose to not have a social life I completely disappeared and locked in .. it wasn’t easy but when you do it everyday you don’t notice you getting better it’s just what you do everyday because you love to you’ll realize you get better when your clients praise you and your work .I learned if you really capitalize on your opportunities and really make a decision on what you what to do aint kno way they can decline you you just gotta keep working til they see you everyday

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Ima be honest all my friends are involved with music and once again I don’t have many friends so if it’s anything we going to the studio and out to eat I like breakfast food a lot there’s a place in the strip called kelly‘’Os and is super good but not really a fan of going out so the studio really be the only plans no matter what city we in The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Therealowey(IG) Mitchpoe26(IG)
Mikemcvayii(IG)
Idlabsmusic(iG)
Owey really open the door to the local music scene for me gave me the keys to his studio when I was in high school grinding for my name / Mitch Poe really gave me multiple opportunities and gave me the keys to his studio as well and showed me so many things like how to be consistent
/ Mike is my manager / best friend honestly he’s everything I can ask for in a friend he’s there for me in multiple ways and I’d go to bat for him without him the past 2 years idk where I’d be / idlabsmusic (Eric Dan) just having somone in my life whose more knowledgeable in the field I’m in is a blessing and on top of that he’s Goated he’s done work with the best of the best but I’ve been his engineer for almost 4 years and I honestly couldn’t be more appreciative of my position and where I’m at because i know he could’ve went with any other experience engineer in the city and he took a shot with me and I couldn’t appreciate him any more than I do that means the most to me
