We had the good fortune of connecting with Brandon Lee and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brandon, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I believe proper research and risk are key to entreprenuership and staying ahead of the curve in business. Taking risk has played a major role in the start of my business as well as throughout my journey of expanding business as well. From investing in myself to trying out new products or setting up for vending events and more. I can say all havent been successful risk but the lessons i learned have taught me how to come back and make better calculated risk…

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I believe what sets me apart in this business is simple, im not just selling my customers and clients a product. Im providing a solution an providing an experince for them that can last a lifetime… One thing i can honestly say im proud of is that i have something that i can call my own, that is also helping people and putting smiles on peoples faces… I have a saying i came up with not long after starting my business, from listening to the the feedback from customers… “When you smell gudd you feel gudd, and when you feel gudd you do amazing things.”… Now saying that i’ll say its been a journey of ups and downs, trial and error, wins and losses, an learning through lessons but standing behind why i wanted to have my own business and already knowing before i got started it wasn’t going to be easy, made me remain persistent even when i wasn’t consistent. One thing i can say i learned is to listen to your customers when looking for where to scale and/or expand your business. The customer isn’t always right, but they are always right lol… If i could leave the world with something to remember my brand and Smell Guddz by it would be my tag line “When you smell gudd you feel gudd and when you feel gudd you do amazing things.” I say that because when you feel your on your A game and nothing can stop you, your unstopable and at that point you approach life from a different mindset…

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If i had to suggest some dope spots in the city to catch a vibe and eat i would say the Eastside Beltline has a dope vibe with restaurants, activies and views and art.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to give a shout out to my family for countless referrals and support throughout the years.
