We had the good fortune of connecting with Asia & Amber Mason and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Asia & Amber, we’d love to hear more about your end-goal, professionally.
Our end goal is to be able to reach the highest level of self; self mastery, In the future potentially write a book and continue to create projects that allows us to remember our royalty as our true self. We want to have the ability to inspire others to heal themselves through art. Our goal is to become 100% self- sufficient with assets and generational wealth and land to pass down for generations. In the near future, we plan on creating a non profit organization specializing in healing, building, holistic health, and art as the world is going through its reset. Because we are psychology majors at prairie view A&M university we inspire to help individuals uphold and build stronger relationships with themselves. The goal is to be able to restore broken families and to gain a better sense of connection amongst ourselves and community to thrive into a higher level of consciousness and to create unity.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Our art is being ourselves. We showcase our art through modeling, painting, doing ancestral/creative haistyles, and expressing ourselves in every aspect of creavity even through clothing.

Something we are most proud of is our overcoming through varies trials and tribulations we’ve experienced in life. Were proud of how strong minded we are and the amount of people we were able to inspire just by being ourselves. Were proud of “Leaders of the Nu world” A short film we created which was inspried by solange “when I get home” album. The short film showcases black love, unity, power, strength and black exellence. The message of our production is to symbolize returning back to self in order to elevate in divine conciousness, We as black people are royalty, smart, intelligent and powerful. We want this film to inspire our community, We believe our ancestors left writing on walls and scultures of pharohs becasue they know it would come a point in life were we may forget our royalty and power, But seeing the arifacts that our ancestors left behind allows us to feel prideful and powerful of knowing were we decendent from kings and Queens. So we wanted to make sure our short film did the same thing. ”Know thyself; return to self” . We’ re also most proud of Queens of Kf, Queens of Klein Forest is a women empowerment organization that we started (Asia & Amber Mason) in order to empower and uplift women of color at Klein forest high school and many other schools around the klein district in order to focus on the importance of knowing your self worth, healing and self- love discovery,

We got to were we are today by gaining strength, having courage, having spiritual guidance, trusting our intuition, family support, love, consistency, and not limiting ourselves.

Was the process easy? Absolutely not, From lossing friends and family memeber it definitely held an imapct on our mental health, However, in the words of jhene aiko ” You have gotta lose your mind just to find a peace of mind”. Which is the best way to explain our journey on our road to sucess. And we can definetly say we are at peace and have a peace of mind.

How did we overcome our challenges? We overcame our chalenges by detoxing from things that no longer serves us, by relaxing and embracing and cherishing our me time, affriming that ” Everything is going to be okay”. painting to help alliveate stress, journaling, showing gratitude, manifesting for better days, practicing breathwork, and setting our intentions.

Some lessons we’ve learned along the way is to make sure youre putting ourselves first, Making sure we maintain a sense of of balance in our life, practice patience, not comparing ourselves to other people, we also learned that everything will happen in dvine timing, “what’s meant for you, will be for you” . showing gratitude for every experience in life, to trust yourself, to allow yourself to be unconfortable in order to grow, pay attention to the signs, to detox your space and body in order to manifest your desires, to except were you are at the moment becasue you are exactly were you need to be, to not stress over things we can not change.

Something we want the world to know about our brand would be that, we empower our community through various forms of art, We are twenty years young, We’ re twins. All of our businesses pertains to mental health and self elevation, We always want to showcase a postitive image of the black woman, We are guided by our ancestors and inspire to give people the tools to heal themseleves,

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
For luch or brunch we would go to either Mo betta bews, lindanina, Jamals, houston sauce pit, blue nile for some great vegan food! which are all black owned resturants.

Then for a great time to relax we would go to..
-herman park
-the waterwall
-the butterfly museum

Next, to shop we would go to
-3rd ward area or montrose area
-D&B african mart
-Henery’s for spiritual items
