We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashli Goudelock and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ashli, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
1. Prioritizing my needs: Prioritizing my needs has played a major part in my success as well as influencing the start of Honeydipped Essentials. Over time, I have learned to establish and maintain self-care habits. I have gained a solid understanding of establishing those habits created a better me – a better me meaning centered, focused, and at peace.

2. Scheduling and creating lists: Because I have so many job titles – mom, wife, business owner, daughter, and big sister – I am constantly juggling many different tasks, and making lists/staying organized with a set schedule helps me achieve success. Lists, although a bit overwhelming to some, show me how far I have come but also keep me on track for where I want to go. I am thankful to have found a method of organization that works for my personality and my business because it has set the stage for smooth processes and managing expectations.

What should our readers know about your business?
Honeydipped Essentials is a personal care brand dedicated to providing natural products that tie nature and luxury to create a cleaner, greener, and healthier environment for its customers. Honeydipped Essentials formulas are 100% unique as they are professionally formulated by me, a certified organic formulator looking to bridge the gap between the natural product world and science-based products. I am professionally trained to gather, research, test, and combine organic ingredients scientifically proven to improve your personal care experience while creating an authentic connection to the importance of self-care and how your skincare, body care, and home care products play a part. All our ingredients are 100% organic and top-tier, often sourced from other small business owners within their countries of origin. For example, we source our Dead Sea salt from a small salt farm in Eilat, Israel, that hand-harvests salt for a premium experience. I am extremely proud of the care we put into sourcing, formulating, and producing our products; however, the most fulfilling thing is the connection I get to make with my community. As a Black, female-owned company, it is our mission to create the opportunity for women to take the time out to treat themselves. No matter what version of self-care you prefer, be it peacefully cleaning your home with no interruptions or lying in a warm herbal bath surrounded by the soothing scent of organic white sage, Honeydipped proudly creates products that help women establish a healthy self-love routine. Hearing reviews from women from all walks of life about how Honeydipped has helped them make better choices with their cleaning products or helped them on their journey toward a natural product lifestyle, has fueled a passion that truly makes me proud. Getting to this point has been no easy road. I am a young mother of four children under the age of eight. While having children was the single most amazing blessing that could have ever happened to me, it also took a lot of “life” out of me, so to speak. I often struggled with feelings of unfulfillment, loss of identity, and low self-esteem. In my personal growth and connection with this brand (and many, many prayers), I made it my mission to help other women who need an escape, like I did, through luxe products.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Honestly, I am very much a homebody and enjoy hanging out in my backyard with family and friends, but when I do go out, I love exploring Ponce City Market. Everything from the stores, atmosphere, and the amazing food is right up my alley! My husband and I also love going to concerts at the Mercedes Benz Stadium. My family is also huge fans of basketball, so we love seeing the Hawks play at State Farm Arena! I always make sure I stop at Old Lady Gang for a during-game snack. I wouldn’t dare try to pick my favorite restaurant; there are so many, but I am a huge fan of seafood. There is an amazing restaurant at Ponce City Market called WH Stiles Fish Camp, and the shrimp po boy is a necessity! I love to learn, so I really enjoy the urban museum and art scene. I highly recommend the High Museum of Art and The Trap Museum because, well, balance!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My mom has been a shining example of what it means to truly love and have compassion for other people. Throughout my entire life, I have watched my mom constantly and consistently sacrifice, take care of people, and show others grace. From a business standpoint, my mom has truly inspired my brand’s value system, which aims to understand and help a community of people acknowledge that they deserve self-love and self-care and beautiful, luxury items. My mother is a pillar of love and an incredible example to follow, learn from, and lean on, and I am convinced that success cannot be attained without quality support.
