We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashley Pepitone and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ashley, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I had practiced divorce and family law for the better part of a decade, and after working for other firms for that long, I knew that there was a better way to do it. I wanted to offer flat fee family law services, and the owners of the other firms I had worked for weren’t willing to try that.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I’m a lawyer, a law firm owner, but I’m also an energetic healer and I run my firm with that first and foremost in my mind and heart.

Pepitone Family Law is a full-service divorce and family law firm that specializes in resolution-focused litigation approach. We offer flat fee services which are predictable and transparent. Most attorneys take a small initial retainer and then bill by the hour, in six-minute increments. This naturally incentivizes attorneys to create more work (which, in family law, always means more drama). We don’t do that. We want to get our clients to resolution and peace as swiftly as possible without compromising excellent service.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would definitely work in a yoga class at Highland Yoga, a stop at Modern Mystic in Ponce City Market followed by some fun and games on the rooftop! I’m a huge lover of antiquing, so if the timing was right I’d take them to Scott’s Antique Market, If it wasn’t a Scott’s weekend, any of the Queen of Hearts locations would do! Dinner at Ecco would also be on the list, with an order of the goat cheese balls and a side of olive oil stracciatella gelato for dessert.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are so many people I want to thank and hype up! If I had to pick a singular person, it would be my dad. I get my entrepreneurial spirit from him, and I just know I would not have be where I am today without his unwavering support.
