We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashley Bovan and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ashley, do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
“It always seems impossible until it’s done.” -Nelson Mandela
There are times that we are all going to doubt ourselves. I’ve doubted myself plenty of times and I have constantly asked myself “Can I do this?”. The truth is you will never know what you can do until you try to do it. I thought leaving an abusive marriage would be impossible. But I did it. I thought being a single mother would be impossible but I’m doing it every day. I knew I wouldn’t be able to run my own business full time but I did it. I’m doing it. And I’m growing every day. Nothing is impossible.
What should our readers know about your business?
New Lyfe Financial Group focuses on educating consumers on how to get and maintain financial freedom. Credit repair is pointless if you don’t understand what you did wrong and how to truly fix it.
It wasn’t easy growing my business. I make it a point to continue to educate myself and continue to grow so that I can help as many people as possible.
The main lesson I’ve learned is to focus on serving people. It’s not about the money. It’s about helping other people. Which is why I also just started my Non-profit, The New Lyfe Project, to help victims of domestic violence achieve financial freedom with better credit scores and financial literacy so they can afford to effectively leave an unhealthy situation.
New Lyfe is about just that, helping people turn their lives around and making their financial dreams come true.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
First up is the Atlanta Beltline. We get good scenery and good food options all in one. Then we’d have to check out some of the different black owned restaurants. Atlanta has so many gems I’d love to show off.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are so many people that encourage me and support me every day. My family and my friends continue to let me know how proud they are of me and will do anything I need to help me. But, my biggest encouragement comes from my son Zhante and my daughter Jyoti. They get excited when they hear me say I have a new client. They were cheering me on when I left my full time job to focus solely on my business. New Lyfe would not be possible if it were not for the continuous love and support they provide.
