We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashley, Amai and Moriah and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Acurvymindset, how did you come up with the idea for your business?
BlackDiaryLoveLLC approached us as brimming with warmth and inclusivity. they shared the heartfelt idea, saying, “Let’s embark on a truly extraordinary journey, weaving together a sit-down show that radiates positivity and celebrates the beauty of all women, regardless of color or size.” Our vision was to create a platform that had a profound impact on the plus size community and the world of plus size modeling. We wanted to empower and uplift, allowing women to witness the sheer inspiration of those who resembled them, especially in the plus size community. Amai graciously connected with Ashley Nicole and Moriah Rasberry, and together, we formed an unbreakable bond, transforming life’s challenges into a sweet and refreshing glass of lemonade.
 

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
“In terms of collaborations and partnerships, we have some exciting developments in the works that we can’t reveal just yet. However, I assure you that we have something truly special on the horizon. To stay in the loop, make sure to follow us on our journey. Each member of the acurvymindset team brings their own unique role and personality, creating a dynamic and powerful show. With Ashley Nicole Moriah Rasberry and Amai West at the helm, we couldn’t have asked for a better lineup. Our diverse perspectives and individual strengths ensure an incredible sit-down show experience. We are constantly striving to set ourselves apart and make a difference for women of all generations. We aim to create a safe space where they can comfortably share our content with friends, family, and spouses. Our goal is to make a positive impact on the black community and provide a show that addresses important mental health topics. We have unwavering confidence that Acurvymindset will revolutionize the game, bringing renewed meaning and sisterhood to viewers worldwide.”

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
To start our day on the right foot, let’s prioritize self-care. We’ll begin by visiting Moriah Rasberry at Berry Pressed for a fabulous nail treatment. Then we can confidently embark on our day’s adventures. Remember, it’s important to feel and look good before facing the world.

Now I propose that we embark on an adventure to explore the best black-owned spots, great brunch spots and hangout spots in ATL!

First let’s start with BlackDot Cultural Center Cafe located in lithonia Ga, Is an absolute gem that celebrates black culture, creativity, and community. From the moment you step inside, you’ll be surrounded by the enchanting melodies of smooth jazz and the aroma of freshly brewed coffee. It’s the perfect place to unwind, indulge in literary delights, and engage in meaningful conversations.

Atlanta boasts a remarkable array of black-owned establishments that offer exquisite culinary delights and warm atmospheres. Let’s kick continue our journey by indulging in a brunch experience that celebrates the flavors and traditions of the black community.

One exceptional brunch spot that I highly recommend is “The Gathering Spot” in Northyards. This innovative social club not only serves delicious brunch dishes but also fosters connections and collaboration among its members. Their menu showcases a fusion of southern and international flavors, ensuring a delightful dining experience for all.

For those seeking a soulful brunch experience, “Soul Vegetarian Restaurant” in West End is an absolute must-visit. Their plant-based menu features classic southern dishes with a creative twist, promising a delectable feast for both the palate and the soul.

Now, let’s move on to the hangout spots where we can relax, unwind, and support black-owned businesses. “Edgewood Speakeasy” in the historic Edgewood neighborhood offers a unique atmosphere reminiscent of the Prohibition era. With live music, handcrafted cocktails, and a cozy ambiance, this hidden gem promises an unforgettable night filled with laughter and good vibes.

If we’re in the mood for a dynamic and vibrant atmosphere, “The Sound Table” in Old Fourth Ward is the place to be. This trendy spot features a fusion of music, art, and delicious drinks. We can groove to the beats of talented DJs while enjoying craft cocktails and immersing ourselves in the electric energy of the crowd.

“Sunrise Bistro,” located in the heart of Midtown. Their farm-to-table approach ensures fresh ingredients and an array of scrumptious dishes that cater to all tastes and dietary preferences.

If we’re in the mood for something more eclectic, “Radial Café” in Cabbagetown is a must-visit. Their inventive brunch creations, such as the famous “Pancake Flight” and “Bacon-Wrapped Meatloaf Benedict,” will leave our taste buds dancing with joy.

For a more lively experience, “Ponce City Market” is a must-visit. This bustling marketplace offers an array of food stalls, boutique shops, and even a rooftop amusement park called “Skyline Park,” where we can enjoy breathtaking views of the city while indulging in carnival games and tasty treats.
