We had the good fortune of connecting with Anthony White and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Anthony, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
I am from Indianapolis, Indiana. I was born and raised there. I was raised in the hood called “Haughville” i lived there till i was in the 5th grade, and my mother moved my brothers and I to a more positive environment, due to her wanting the best for her boys. Coming from Haughville taught me to never give up on a dream just because of your background. To me, its all about how your parents raised you. I’ll never give up on my music, acting, and modeling careers as long as Im alive. I stand 10 toes down that i’ll get in the industry with the blessings from God.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’ve been doing music since I was 8 years old. I started out singing the church choir, and from there I took off and started singing in elementary all the way till my senior year in High School doing show choir since my freshman year all the way till my senior year. What sets me aside from everyone is my big personality. Everyone tells me that my personality will get me far, because its so authentic and not everyone has a bright personality to share with. How i got to this level of success, being humble and trusting God with all my heart. The road isn’t easy at all especially while being a black African American male, society either loves me or dispose of me, I’m still here and will be here. I had to step out my comfort zone in order to overcome the challenges, I’ve learned you have to trust people at times, even when you’ve been hurt in the past. I would love for the world to know me for Anthony and not what anyone has to say about me.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Ouuu chile lol. We are just going to have to get in these Atlanta streets. There is lots to do in the city, we just can not settle on one place.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’ll like to thank God first for making me the greatest artist i am today, for blessing me with a gift of many talents. Also my parents for building me up to always follow my dreams and never let anyone tell me otherwise.
