We had the good fortune of connecting with Amanda “Nikki” Haynes and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Amanda “Nikki”, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I struggled on the dating scene. I wasn’t getting the outcome I wanted, which was a loving, fulfilling relationship with the love of my life. I was in and out of relationships with people who weren’t right for me and I didn’t understand the source of the problem. A book was introduced to me that opened my eyes to things I was doing to sabotage myself in the love and relationship department. I thought to myself, if I’m struggling this much with finding my perfect match, there has to be other people having an equally, if not more, difficult time. It was at this moment I decided I wanted to help people find, secure and maintain long-lasting relationships with the love of their life. I did a bit of research into relationship coaching and discovered I preferred this method of helping people over matchmaking, therapy or consulting, and that working for myself as a relationship coaching appealed to me as the best course of action. And here I am, a whole relationship coach!
What should our readers know about your business?
I am the founder of IAS Relationship Coaching LLC. IAS stands for Internal Alignment Services. We all have a higher being inside of us, the best version of ourselves. When we live, think, and behave in alignment with our best, or higher self, we live more fulfilling lives and are able to achieve all that we desire. As a relationship coach, I help my clients become aligned with their best self, reach their relationship goals, and find the love of their life.
I believe what sets me apart from others is my intuition. I base how I coach my clients on my instinctual ability to understand where to take them in the moment, as opposed to strictly following a structured path. It is this intuition that allows my clients to reach what we coaches like to call “aha moments”, or epiphanies, contributing to their forward movement and progression toward their relationship goals.
I am most excited about helping people along their journey to finding long-lasting love. As human beings, we long for connection and companionship, but often have trouble maintaining both, hence the current divorce rate. Most of us aren’t taught about relationships or even how to consciously and intentionally choose a partner to share life with. We use the trial-and-error method and hope that it will eventually work to secure the relationships we long for. I’m excited about helping our society blaze a different path in the love department.
Getting to where I am today has been quite a fun journey! Having a background in Nursing has allowed me to sharpen my interpersonal skills regarding empathy, compassion, and non-judgement, which I religiously practice in my coaching practice. I studied relationship coaching for almost 2 years at the Relationship Coaching Institute where I learned so much about people and relationships, along with how to be an effective coach. It’s been an easy journey for me because relationship coaching is what I’m passionate about and keeps my motivation energetically charged.
Lessons I’ve learned along the way are that my career is a journey, not a destination. I’ve learned to remain flexible and fluid so I’m always able to learn something new about myself and how I can help my clients achieve the results they want.
I want the world to know it is possible to find your 100% match, or soulmate. I hired my own relationship coach and have achieved my relationship goals. I’m in the healthiest, most fulfilling relationship I’ve ever experienced. I didn’t settle and I put in the work to create a life I love with the love of my life. Hiring a relationship coach is an investment in yourself. The value you gain when working with a relationship coach is priceless. If you long for something more fulfilling in your life, and aren’t quite getting the results you want in the love department, hire a relationship coach! It’s so worth it!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I like staying active and am also such a foodie! It’s safe to say I like a nice balance. Haha. I enjoy nature and hiking/staying active. Some of my favorite spots in and around the city to walk or hike are the BeltLine, Stone Mountain and Cochran Mill Park. I love Mexican food so I hit up Patria Cocina and Nuevo Loredo Cantina often. If I’m feeling a need for speed I’ll hit up Andretti’s Indoor Karting. Other fun spots I like are Top Golf or The Painted Duck. Ponce City Market is always a nice place to spend a few hours exploring shops, restaurants, etc. I’m always finding new places in Atlanta I enjoy. It’s such a fun city!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First and foremost, the highest praise to Source. God has placed me exactly where I’m supposed to be in this moment and at all times. I’d like to give a special shoutout to my family and friends, who have always been such a solid support system for me. A special shoutout to the Relationship Coaching Institute, RCI, where I spent almost two years of my life gaining the education and knowledge I needed to become the relationship coach I am today. I also want to give a shoutout to everyone I’ve come across in this journey called life. If it weren’t for all my unsuccessful dating experiences and relationships, friends and family’s experiences, and everyone else along the way, I wouldn’t have the instincts or drive to want to help people reach their relationship goals as I do today.
