We had the good fortune of connecting with Aleacea Dais and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Aleacea, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
Choosing to pursue an artistic & creative career was not ever a second thought for me. I’ve always been a creator of something whether it was music , DIY projects , and now pictures and creating memories. I’ve always loved anything I could be hands on and creative with because there’s constant ideas flowing through my head throughout the day/night.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Being in the photography business is nonstop learning. I’m always learning about something new or finding a different route to something I’ve already known etc. It makes it fun , while also making it a challenge. Of course with anything , there were a lot of obstacles to get even to the beginning point of where I’m at. One thing that I’ve learned along the way is to just remain patient and the opportunities will come. I’m usually really hard on myself but, sometimes I have to remember that the slow part and the obstacles are all apart of a successful journey.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Living in Atlanta , there’s a lot to do and see in my opinion. I love açaí bowls now so I like to go to Playa Bowls, or a place called Frutta Bowls. Most of my friends love taking pictures so we usually end up going to photo op places such as Krog Street, or the Atlanta beltline. Anyone that knows me knows I have a taco obsession. I eat tacos almost every time I’m out so I like going to any Mexican restaurant for the most part.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to of course my supportive family & friends , but also to Jahret Rainey & RaineyU for helping me see the potential that at the time I didn’t even see for myself because I had not a clue of what to expect in this industry.
