We had the good fortune of connecting with Ajiana Dailey and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ajiana, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I started my brand JianaDai a year ago when becoming unemployed due to covid-19. Covid-19 forced me to think outside the box and allowed me to sit back and really think about my next move. JianaDai was that next move. I knew that I wanted my brand to be something that made people feel and look good,Fashion was the answer to that. JianaDai allows women of all sizes to be sexy, classy, and cute in their own skin by providing fashion essentials. I was a little nervous because I had never ran a business of any sort but with a great mentor (Kierra Perry) and a creative mind my first JianaDai Swim collection completely SOLD OUT and we have recently dropped a Top collection which also did extremely well!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a woman of many talents. My entire life my parents kept me involved in extracurricular activities so I’ve always been able to balance a plate full. Growing up such a busy kid turned me into a true Go Getter. I recently Graduated with honors from the Illustrious Clark Atlanta University while also being involved in campus organizations ,cheerleading captain, All-Star cheerleading coach, business owner, and social media Influencer. All of this has molded me into the woman that I am. This journey hasn’t been easy, the hardest part about running a business while also managing life was staying consistent but with the support of my mom constantly reminding me to stay focused I manage to push through every obstacle. One lesson that I’ve learned on this journey is to always stay ahead, we all know PROCRASTINATION can get real!! I would love the world to know that JianaDai will be huge one day , JianaDai will continue to show love and support to other young business owners. We are all out here just trying to make our dreams come true.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
One of my favorite hangout spots are ponce city market and Piedmont park.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I have a huge support system behind both myself and brand JianaDai. I would love to shout out my parents for always supporting and investing into me becoming an entrepreneur. I would also like to shoutout all friends & family who repost, like, and share JianaDai content. You all are apart of the reason my dreams continue to come true. Lastly, I would like to shout out my grandmother Theresa Taylor, she has one of the biggest impacts on my life, her words of wisdom is what keeps me balanced. She constantly reminds me that I’m a star and those words are what I live up too.
