Meet Aiesha Truesdale: CEO & Author of Life’s Balances

We had the good fortune of connecting with Aiesha Truesdale and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Aiesha, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I think of risks as a challenge, and I love challenges. Many people have told me that I couldn’t accomplish things and I have proved many wrong. Risks have showed me what hard work looks like and how it pays off. My grandmother once told me “if it were easy, everyone would have it” and that stuck with me through my darkest hours. Betting on myself when no one else did has given me the confidence to pursue my dreams and to flourish throughout my career. Betting on myself when the odds were against me has been the greatest risk and the greatest reward in my career.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am most excited about my upcoming virtual summer camp and book release. Before the pandemic I would host a camp in person, but this year I had to think of safety first and I used my creativity juices to create a virtual camp. I got where I am today because of my faith in God, myself and my wonderful village of friends and family.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to shoutout my branding coach Johnene Benson McBeth, CEO of Branded for Billions, @iamjohnene and my video editor Karim Amerhoune CEO, of Kartist video editor, @kartist_videoeditor. I would also like to thank my sons and family for the unwaivering support. Thankyou so much for believing in me and my vision for my brand! I wouldn’t be where I am without you guys!
