We had the good fortune of connecting with Kera Dupree and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kera, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
I am now a person that looks at balance differently than I did a few years ago. I used to see balance as this unattainable thing that could only be achieved in some unrealistic life. I thought that in order to obtain success, you must be willing to remain unbalanced and be okay with it. Now, I look at balance as something that is subjective and is solely based on who we are as people. I view balance like some people view clay, it can be anything you want it to be. For me balance comes in the form of stress-free days, clear boundaries with family and friends along with the ability to have all of the things I desire without regret.
What should our readers know about your business?
I am the owner of Belle Brand Solutions, all-inclusive marketing, and branding agency. There are so many amazing people that are in my industry, but what sets me apart is my strategy and personality. In a time where the focus is quantity, I provide quality service. I dedicate time to research my clients and their businesses. I work with a limited amount of clients to help them market their business and develop their brands. I have a multi-step process before accepting a client to make sure that it is a great fit for them and their business. My goal is to create a custom plan that will allow them to grow their business and reach whatever their version of success looks like. My goal is always to guarantee results and service that cannot be duplicated by anyone. I pride myself on availability and passion for your business as if it were mine. I am so excited that I am headed into my 2-year anniversary and business has sky-rocketed since my last interview. I have been completely booked and I have a waitlist of 6 months right now. I’m so excited to see where this next year takes me and how many amazing businesses I will have the pleasure of helping grow and develop over time. I have literally only made it this far by faith and living a fearless life. I set out to achieve the goals that I set for me, by me. I have learned that timing is everything and when it comes to who I am and what I do, I can only do it my own way. I have had the pleasure of working in several industries from entertainment to the non-profit sector and I used those opportunities to gain knowledge of all businesses. It has not been an easy process, but it has always been worth it! I overcame most of the challenges by trusting God and also trusting myself. The biggest lesson I learned is sometimes the process involves failure and you have to be okay with being a failure. My motto is, “preparation before elevation” and you have to be ready to elevate. Timing is such a detrimental step in the process of succeeding at what your purpose is and you have to be patient. I want the world to know that Belle Brand Solutions Ltd. Co is a business that operates off of passion and principle. If you have an idea, a business, or even a hobby, don’t let anyone talk you out of seeing the growth. I help you see the vision and build on the purpose. If you are ready for elevation let me help you with preparation. I offer consultations and I am a wealth of knowledge for anyone interested in learning. I volunteer my time to interns that are interested in this field and I am always educating myself on the latest technology and processes. My brand was founded to help others and that is what I will continue to do on a daily basis.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If you are visiting the city of Atlanta, as a longtime yelp elite I have to send you to the best of the best or at least some of my faves! For breakfast, I recommend Atlanta Breakfast Club for the chicken biscuits. I like to grab it to-go and sit picnic-style in Centennial Park. For brunch, BQE has the best swag-surfin’ brunch in ATL and I get the red velvet waffles and bottomless mimosas. For lunch, The Wing Bar in East Atlanta Village for a 10pc lemon pepper wet fried hard is a must-have! If you’re looking for happy hour spots, Whiskey Bird in Morningside has $5 happy hour drinks even on weekends. My favorite spot for dinner is Mission + Market in Buckhead for the purple clouds cocktail, mission burger, and bread pudding or Bones if I’m craving a good steak. If you’re looking for places to go, The Buckhead Shops, Piedmont Park, or checking out any of the local sports teams is always a win.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Without endless support, long nights and the sole desire to see me win, there would be a less polished version of me. Grandma Shug, thank you for being my wings and carrying me this far. Mom, thank you for your strength and endurance. To my father Renzo, thanks for everything and then some. Ryan, thanks for helping me create a story worth reading and living every day. To my nephews, Zachary and Khyler, the motivation in me is fueled by you. To all of my friends, clients, and my Kaptivating sisters of Zeta Phi Beta- Kappa Iota Zeta Chapter….Success to me has come in the form of support from all of you. With love, Kera
