We had the good fortune of connecting with Jessica Thomaszfski and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jessica, what principle do you value most?
Showing people they’re enough and helping them believe in themselves matters a lot to me in my business. Life is hard, but choosing to focus on yourself is hard too. Working with each client and showing them that “you are enough” means more than they realize at the moment of the statement. All of my clients are from different lifestyles, some younger, some older, some teachers, some stay at home Moms. They all have one goal, that is to be 1% better daily. By believing in them, when they may not believe in themselves, helps grow their confidence. Mental health is real and my tribe knows how important it is to me. They are enough and they deserve to feel enough. Fitness isn’t just physical and my clients may not come in with the understanding of that, but they soon figure out that their mental health is worth it and so are they!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Monarch Fitness 22 was started because of my love for fitness and my love of butterflies. The name is significant in a fitness journey because I love to watch the transformations of my clients happen, both mentally and physically. Fitness isn’t just about working out and looking fit. Monarch’s mission is to empower and encourage our Tribe to become not only stronger mentally and physically, but to remember the importance of trusting the process and practicing self-love always. You become a family when you become part of the Monarch Tribe. I decided to open my own business after leaving my last job. It was a very hard decision, but I take it as a stepping stone because without my last position, I would be where I am today and I wouldn’t have the experience or confidence that I do today. When I train clients, I become fully invested in their story, so it’s not easy to walk away from people, but I know in my heart that making the decision to go out in my own would come with risks and I am and have been up for the challenge. Some lessons I’ve learned along this journey and one of the biggest lessons is to trust the process. Things aren’t always going to go smoothly and they’re not always going to go my way, but believing in my passion and my heart will lead me the way. Don’t give up on your dreams because they’re hard, life is hard too, so choose your hard, stay focused and keep striving to be better than who you were yesterday. You go through seasons in life for a reason and you will make it through with the best support by your side. Find your tribe and know that your story isn’t over, it may just be beginning.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m not much of a traveler nor do I go out of my area much (I’ve got 5 kids who keep us pretty busy), but I would take them to see things they couldn’t see from where they live. Stone Mountain is a must, Coca-Cola as well because I’m from New Jersey and we don’t have that back home. Visiting some of the beautiful parks here in Georgia is a must as well. Eating wise- well downtown has a lot of great restaurants, but no pizza joints because NJ’s pizza is way better! I’m more of a stay in, hang out with others kind of person. Weather permitting, I’d love to go to Helen as well and show them around and stay in a cabin!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to shout out my family first. They have been there in more ways than they realize. They’re my support, my rock, my encouragement and most of all who I keep pushing forward for. To my past clients and my current clients, you have believed in me and encouraged me to pursue my own dream, it means the world to me. I push you daily to be the best you can and achieve 1% better daily, but you hold me accountable too. I would like to shout out a really good friend of mine, Amy Steele, who has given me the courage to pursue my own dream. She has been there for so many conversations, tears, and worries and I honestly wouldn’t be where I am without her by my side in this journey. So thank you! Overall, I have an amazing support system, those who know me, know how much it matters.
