Meet Trickeon Ruffin | Lash Tech & Strip lash distributor

We had the good fortune of connecting with Trickeon Ruffin and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Trickeon, what is the most important factor behind your success?
I think the most important factor behind my success is number one I am a MALE lash tech. I put emphasis on male because there is not many men in this industry. I travel state to state and come to their house as well. Another huge factor is my business is self funded. Now, the success of my brand is different. Customer service is the most important factor of my brand, and to be a successful business. I’m a peoples person. I love to make people smile and feel good about themselves.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My brand is THC Lash Extensions. When people see THC the first thing they think of is marijuana. My birthday is April 19, the day before 4/20 which is national weed day. And it’s also always an eye catcher. So that was one of the creative ways I created my brand. I have strip lashes that come in a green pill bottle with a prescription label around it like it would if you got actual marijuana from a dispensary. I have 14 different styles that are named after different strands or types of weed. THC stands for Tricks High Class. Trickeon is my name but Trick is my nickname. H and C for High Class. Which to me, high class means classy, wealthy, very pretty and extravagant.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my bestfriend were to visit me we’d actually have one adventurous week. Being that I’m from Alabama, lived in Nashville for two years, and now living in Atlanta. We both would be learning our way around and getting to know the area. We would definitely stop by the mall because I love clothes and shoes. I like Greenbriar, Lennox, and Perimeter Mall. I’d take her to Felinis, the best pizza I’ve ever had in my life. One of my favorite hangout spots is Boogalou. The food, vibe, music, and crowd is always nice and lit. So we’d definitely hangout there. I think Downtown Atlanta is the most interesting place to check out because you see so many different people, cars, houses, celebrities, and businesses. All of the things that interest me.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Actually, I have lots of support from every angle. All of my friends support me. I have a huge facebook following base, and they show me so much support and love. I’m in different lash groups on facebook that gives me a lot of feedback and criticism. Good criticism. My cousin Kedrin Hood and bestfriend Jasmine Chapman are always in my corner rooting for me. Pushing me to not give up, do better and always a listening ear.
