We had the good fortune of connecting with Casey Pauline and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Casey, alright, let’s jump in with a deep one – what’s you’re definition for success?
When most people think of success they think of a sum of money or a following of an enormous amount of people. However, I believe success isn’t about money or having followers at all. To me success means you’ve accomplished something you’re passionate about and it makes it even MORE successful if what you’re doing has helped others; even if it’s just ONE person— that’s STILL success.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Not only am I a flight attendant, a certified personal trainer, but I’m also an author. I started as a group fitness instructor, which lead to independent personal training, and then I decided to join the skies as a flight attendant so I could be with my twin sister more (who’s also a flight attendant). Together we started a NEW ‘venture’ in writing a book titled: ‘Fit for Flight’ which showcases that fitness AND travel can coexist. You can stay in shape no matter where your travels lead you, whether it’s for work or for leisure, and we are leading examples of that. Fit for Flight is also available on AMAZON.
Any great local spots you’d like to shoutout?
Oh! Considering I’m from Atlanta- I’ll start there! I actually love downtown Roswell. Gate City Brewing and Ceviche are favorites of mine, but I also love Beetle Cat in downtown Atlanta for their doughnut brunches on the weekends! Now- I currently live in Fort Lauderdale and though I haven’t been able to explore much yet, I do love Mojo Doughnuts here! Can you tell I’m a doughnut fan?
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d love to dedicate my shoutout to my parents. My mom and dad have always supported me in whatever crazy idea I’ve had or anything I do. My dad has always said “you always go after what you want; your passion, and not many people can say that.” I’ll never forget the day he told me how proud he was of me when I even became a flight attendant. To me hearing those words means more than any amount of money or success in the world.
