Meet Christa Perry | RN, BSN

We had the good fortune of connecting with Christa Perry and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Christa, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I had been thinking about starting my own business for about two years, but last summer really became the turning point for me. I lost my biological brother to a mental health struggle, and just four days later, my husband suffered a trimalleolar fracture on the way to one of our son’s baseball tournaments. Three days after that, my sister was involved in a serious car accident. It felt like life was crumbling around me, and I realized I was at a pivotal moment in my own life—a moment where I had to decide whether I was going to continue waiting or finally take the leap.
That is truly where Pivotal Pulse Wellness was born.
The idea itself came from years of working in hospital settings and home hospice. I’ve seen firsthand how overwhelmed emergency departments can become, but I’ve also seen the incredible difference personalized, compassionate care can make—especially when it’s provided in the comfort of someone’s home. In hospice, I witnessed patients improve in quality of life simply because care was tailored to them and delivered with intention.
I wanted to create something that gave people access to wellness and preventative care on their terms—care that is convenient, personalized, and proactive. My goal was to help clients focus on prevention and overall wellness before a health concern becomes a crisis; proactive instead of reactive. I wanted to help people avoid unnecessary hospital visits when appropriate, while still feeling supported and cared for in a meaningful way.
Since launching Pivotal Pulse Wellness in September 2025, it has been incredibly rewarding to serve our community. From teachers and first responders to young athletes and busy families, helping people feel better, recover faster, and prioritize wellness has been one of the greatest blessings of my career.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My professional journey has been built on resilience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for caring for others. I attended nursing school at Truett McConnell University while simultaneously running a competitive gymnastics program, which taught me early on how to balance leadership, discipline, and service. During nursing school, I also became a mother to my son, which brought its own unique challenges. Balancing motherhood, school, and work was not easy, but with the support of my professors, family, and community, I stayed focused and completed the program.
I began my nursing career in cardiac nursing and later transitioned into a progressive care setting, where I gained invaluable experience caring for patients during some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives. Those years strengthened my clinical skills, taught me how to work under pressure, and deepened my understanding of what compassionate, patient-centered care truly means.
Like many healthcare professionals, the COVID era challenged me both personally and professionally. While pregnant with my youngest child, I made the difficult but intentional decision to step away from bedside nursing and transition into home hospice care so I could be more present with my family while still doing meaningful work I loved. That transition ultimately changed my perspective on healthcare. Hospice showed me the power of personalized care and meeting people where they are—physically, emotionally, and medically.
I believe what sets me apart is that I genuinely care about relationships and individualized care. I don’t see people as appointments or numbers; I see them as individuals with unique goals, struggles, and stories. That mindset became the foundation for Pivotal Pulse Wellness and my passion for proactive wellness, education, and prevention.
Has the journey been easy? Not at all. There have been seasons of grief, uncertainty, career pivots, motherhood, long hours, and moments of doubt. But every challenge taught me something: resilience, faith, flexibility, and the importance of continuing to move forward even when the path isn’t perfectly clear.
If there’s one thing I want people to know about me and my brand, it’s this: Pivotal Pulse Wellness was built from both passion and personal experience. At its core, it’s about helping people feel their best, prioritize wellness, and receive compassionate, personalized care in a way that fits their lives. I want people to know they are seen, heard, and cared for—and that wellness should be proactive, not just reactive.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend visited for a week, I’d want them to experience a mix of great food, family time, and the local community that makes this area feel like home. We’d likely start by getting coffee at Rise & Grind in Auburn, GA. We’d spend time exploring North Georgia, enjoying the outdoors, and slowing down a bit in nature because I think that’s an important part of wellness.
We’d also make time to visit Atlanta for good food, fun spots, and maybe a Braves game. Since I’m very involved in baseball with my family, we’d definitely spend some time at the ballfield too—that’s a big part of our life and community.
More than anything, I’d want them to experience the people here. It’s a place where community, family, and supporting one another really matter, and that’s what makes it special.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First and foremost, God deserves all the glory. My faith has carried me through every high and low, and I truly believe I wouldn’t be where I am today without Him.
I also owe so much to my family and friends for their unwavering support. Starting a business can be scary and uncertain at times, but they believed in me, encouraged me, and stood beside me every step of the way. Their support has made all the difference, and I’m incredibly grateful for the community and clients who have trusted us along the journey.
