We had the good fortune of connecting with Derrica Webb and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Derrica, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I always wanted my own company. I come from a background of entrepreneurship as my dad started a family business. Fashion is my passion so I knew designing my own line was my calling I just never thought sleepwear.

What should our readers know about your business?
I own and design a women’s luxury sleepwear company called Xzood (which is a creative spelling of the ‘exude.’. My sleepwear is made to transition from the bedroom to fashionable loungewear apparel. We specialize in robes, caftans, gowns, pajamas, onesies, rompers, and bedroom accessories. My company is dedicated to Queens who live and chase dreams. We are more than a sleepwear company we are a brand supporting women empowerment and self-love. I got to where I am through hard work, faith, drive, and passion. It is definitely not easy but rewarding as I faced many challenges. I overcame my challenges by never giving up, being surrounded with an amazing support system, and networking with like-minded individuals. The lessons that I have learned is that failure is apart of success and to trust the process. My brand is always growing and we are excited about our future,

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my friend came to visit these are some of the great spot we would go to Restaurants: Sun in my Belly (brunch), Big Daves Cheesesteaks, Dantanna’s (upscale American cuisine), The Flying Roll (sushi), Chef Robs (carribean cruisine), Atlanta Fish Market, Hal’s Steakhouse Hangouts: Cigar City Club, Barnacles Duluth, Sivas Lounge Visit: The Trap Museum, The Coca-Cola Museum, a Hawks game or concert @ The State Farm Arena, a Falcons Game @ Mercedes Benz Stadium, Jeju Sauna & Spa Atlanta has soo much to offer there are several other places I need to visit that are on my list.
