We had the good fortune of connecting with Miracle Aaliyah and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Miracle, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I always wanted to be able to work for myself and be able to follow my passion at the same time, so it motivated me to start my own business

What should our readers know about your business?
In 2019, when I was in high school I decided to start my business “Looks by Miracle”. At first, it was just for fun but then I realized I actually had a strong passion for taking care of peoples natural hair, while also making them feel good about themselves when they leave my chair, so I took it more seriously & went to cosmetology school. Being in school played a major part in my growth from learning new techniques to strengthening my skills. It wasn’t always easy especially during Covid & having to a manage school & work, but it taught me how to handle my strengths and my weaknesses under pressure. Also, to always stay positive. Now 2022, I received my Master Cosmetology license & I’m expanding my brand to Dallas,Texas. I found out that if I focus on my goals and wants I can always pursue my dreams & I couldn’t have done it without the support of my clients, family, teachers and friends.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would HIGHLY recommend going to Centennial Park, Top Golf, Andrettis, and Puttshack for fun places to go to. The Battery is a popular spot as well. Food wise, the best places to eat would be Slutty Vegan, The Yardhouse, & JJs Chicken & Fish.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to shoutout my mentors Sharonda Rowell & Mr.Fuller, they both helped me build my brand & lead me in the right direction to success. Also, all of my family & friends who supported me & shared my business with others.
