We had the good fortune of connecting with Jasmine Womack and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jasmine, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I’ve always wanted to have my own business. For years, I tried my hand at retail, MLM, and even had a non-emergency transportation company at one point. While I loved my job as an educator, I could feel deep within that I was supposed to serve outside of four walls everyday. I knew that it would be a challenge, and I was up for it.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I’m the founder of Author Made Easy® Bootcamp, a 6-month incubator to help career professionals and high performing entrepreneurs write, publish, launch their books, and use their book to build their brand and start their coaching business. I was a language arts teacher for 12 years before I made the jump into full time entrepreneurship. It was not easy at all, and it took (and still takes) a mindset shift. Challenges in entrepreneurship are constant, but the way that I overcome them is by leaning on my faith, honoring my wins and continuously pushing forward no matter what. Some of the lessons that I’ve learned along the way: 1. Money is a tool but happiness comes from within. 2. Every next level requires and demands a different you. 3. Everything begins in your mind.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Kids, husband, team and business, I tend go to the same spots. Breakfast at Barneys The Juicy Crab Down near Centennial Park- King Center, Civil Rights Museum, Aquarium, GA College Football Hall of Fame

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Shouts out to Kendall Ficklin, Maya Elious, Marquel Russell, Kristi Jackson, Dr. Jinneh Dyson, and Gabrielle Leonard. These are the coaches I’ve worked with over the past 3 years that have helped me grow and scale my company.
