We had the good fortune of connecting with Mell Ali and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mell, what inspires you?
I’m inspired the people I associated myself with over the years. Also I’m inspired by everyone I’ve did music with. Everyone has their own style of music and I’ve adapted to doing every style.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Being honest, getting to this stage in my music career wasn’t easy. I had to overcome mental boundaries and personal problems to get to where I’m at. I’m still working on achieving certain goals I have and it’s tough but I believe in myself and my talent to achieve those goals. I’ve learned that patience and perfection is key to doing music. You can rush yourself to put out a project if it’s not perfect or sounds good to you. Don’t rush the process pretty much.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’d take them to spot like Stone Mountain Park, the botanical garden, Strokers, Magic City, Cafe Bourbon Street, The Bando just to name a few spots.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to shoutout my labels 4K00Record and my own personal label Too Saucy Entertainment, my parents, my sister, my family, my brothers, my dawgs Tyri, Juan, Ques, Dre, Dane, AJay, LA, Ted, Chante, Chev, etc.
