We had the good fortune of connecting with Zipporah Ford and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Zipporah, how do you think about risk?
Risk taking, why I’m here as a Esthetician. I’ve taken so many risk, thinking about it now makes me want to keep going. I’ve always taken risk because you never know how far that one risky move can take you. Sometimes they’re worth it sometimes they’re lessons.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m a licensed esthetician and nail tech. I’ve been licensed now for 6 years. I went to college for biology, so skin made since to me. It’s been a interesting journey. I’ve moved to Atlanta, Ga to get more exposure and experience. It’s so many things you can do with both licenses, Im just trying to add to my knowledge. They say knowledge is power, so I’m trying to learn as much as I can, in my industry before I make my next big move. No, this journey hasn’t been easy but I wouldn’t change anything that’s happened. I’ve over come so many challenged, by not letting it get to me, knowing that I can over come any obstacles, because nothing too hard for God. He’s always the first person I go to, because he’s the only one who knows the next move. I want the world to know, success doesn’t happen over night. What’s for you will always find you, plan and pray and go to God for direction. I always try to keep him first and keep him in my plans. It’s sound cliché but it’s true.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Okay so I’m more of a restaurant and lounge kind of lady, so I’ll start off with restaurants, Poor Calvin’s, Divans, Steam House, The Boiler, just to name a few. Atlanta has really good restaurants. Lounges, Hide, Fins & Feathers, Copper Cove, Cheetahs, Brunch, BQE, Toast on Lenox, Mission and market, Roc South.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
SHOUT OUT to God. He’s the reason I’m where I’m at today. I’ve stayed faithful in believing in what I want to do, and he’s still blessing me, and I know I have many more in stored. To my parents because they’re always one call away. In this industry you have your ups and downs, and they’ve always supported me, as well as my friends.
