We had the good fortune of connecting with Andreaa and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Andreaa, do you have some perspective or insight you can share with us on the question of when someone should give up versus when they should keep going?
Just know that giving up is never the other option. You never stop, you may have to rethink how you are getting things done, but you never stop getting them done. Keep going.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I know this may sound so regular but honestly, based on everyone’s reaction, I think my talent sets me apart. These days a lot of people who call themselves artists in this era can’t actually sing. I come from a space and time of heavy auto tune and pitch correction and ghost writers and so much help to the point where they are just the face of a bunch of other peoples art. I write and sing my own songs and I can perform them live as well. That’s what makes me different. I am proud of my resilience and my ability to bounce back and not give up when my dad passed in 2019. He was really my connection to music and when he died it took a crazy turn for me. I just kept going and used it as fuel for everything I have done and so far I am killing it. I’m excited for the plans my team and I have come up with for the year to be put into action and I’m excited to see what opportunities they bring my way! It wasn’t easy getting where I am today but I am not where I want to be yet so I’m gonna save that story for when I get there. I have literally turned every obstacle into motivation on my journey that helped move me forward. Along the way I have learned that you can’t listen to everyone, you can’t trust everyone, and you can’t let men treat you like they know more than you or better than you because you’re a woman so you have to know what you’re talking about. I just need the world to know that I’m coming and if they don’t know me by now, they will soon enough,

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My main supporters have to be my family and my best friend. My best friend Taeja is also my manager. We bump heads daily be she always has my back. She holds me up when I fall and she stays by my side when the going gets tough. There are so many days I couldn’t have handled my stress without her being there. My family is another huge system especially my mom. A lot of times when things were falling through, she was my prayer warrior, my shoulder to cry on, my silent investor, and though she said it about me, she has been my angel. My sisters support me harder than anyone and they are always clapping for me and doing and saying things to make me smile. I don’t know what I would do without them or if I would even still be taking music seriously.
